Position Summary
The SEO/Marketing Specialist assists the Owners/Sales Manager in developing strategies to achieve marketing goals through research, analysis, and testing. This role leads search engine optimization initiatives to improve rankings and site traffic, with day-to-day responsibilities including keyword planning, content strategy, and social media content management and posting.
Responsibilities
- Support the Owners/Sales Manager in shaping and executing the annual marketing plan, monitoring performance, and adjusting campaigns to meet or exceed lead targets within budget.
- Assist in creating and proofreading online and offline marketing campaigns and materials, ensuring accuracy, grammar, and brand consistency.
- Aid the leadership in pursuing company awards and recognition.
- Oversee the brand ambassador program and cultivate partnerships with ambassadors.
- Recruit, train, and manage brand ambassadors to strengthen brand presence.
- Identify, register for, and evaluate relevant events.
- Procure, organize, and maintain booth materials for events and trade shows.
- Enter event-generated sales leads into the tracking system.
- Communicate marketing initiatives, programs, and updates to employees.
- Manage the employee newsletter content and distribution.
- Support employment branding efforts, including content creation, internal/external messaging, and the careers website.
- Develop and manage the social media content calendar, scheduling new and repurposed content across multiple platforms.
- Track, analyze, and report social media performance; recommend strategies to boost engagement and lead generation based on insights.
- Monitor industry news, market trends, mentions, and customer feedback, reporting key findings.
- Engage with customers and prospects on social channels to foster interaction and conversations.
- Assist with paid social media campaigns as needed.
- Design or supervise the design of social media posts to ensure visual appeal and brand consistency.
- Act in alignment with the company’s purpose, mission, and values; deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of marketing principles and practices.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Computer proficiency with standard programs; experience with design software is a plus.
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist.
- Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms.
- Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics in an SEO role.
- Experience in digital marketing and/or using a content management system.
- Ability to process information from written materials and on screens for the majority of the workday.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred, with 2+ years in marketing or writing/editing, or an equivalent combination demonstrating a track record.
- Physical ability to transport equipment in a personal vehicle, with occasional lifting up to 50 lb for event setup; stand for up to eight hours; and move around work areas as needed. A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record to drive for the company are required.
