Job Description
Lead and optimize a subset of Cox Automotive brands’ websites, SEO, and web-performance strategy through data-driven recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve strategy for a subset of company websites, including configuration, content editing, copy and image proofing, and graphics creation.
- Manage website page optimization execution in partnership with agencies and brand/product marketers, from design through publication.
- Optimize landing pages and web experiences using user-experience principles and conversion rate optimization (CRO) to improve conversion.
- Define scalable page-performance standards covering load time, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility.
- Run regular content audits to identify outdated pages for refresh or removal to maintain quality and relevance.
- Build and maintain SEO and search-visibility strategies across assigned web properties, aligning content to target keywords and search intent.
- Conduct technical SEO audits covering site speed, mobile optimization, crawlability, and structured data.
- Establish front-end and back-end strategies to support AI overviews and answer-engine optimization (AEO) visibility.
- Create and maintain an SEO content calendar informed by keyword research and seasonal trends.
- Develop and drive link-building approach to strengthen domain authority via partnerships, PR, and content.
- Track and analyze web performance metrics including traffic, bounce rate, time on site, conversion rate, and page load speed.
- Monitor SEO performance across organic traffic, keyword rankings, domain authority, and backlink profile.
- Build performance dashboards to support in-flight optimization of web experiences.
- Translate web and search insights into strategic, data-backed recommendations aligned to business objectives.
- Develop attribution reporting to show how web and organic search contribute to pipeline and conversion.
- Define a testing roadmap focused on high-impact elements such as page layouts, CTAs, and landing-page variants.
- Set testing design standards including hypotheses, control and variant definitions, success metrics, and sample-size requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for website and search capabilities, advising cross-functional partners without direct authority.
- Partner with Product Marketing, brand/product marketers, and boundary partners to align web work with broader marketing initiatives.
- Establish quality-assurance checklists and version-control practices for rendering, links, tracking, and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience in a related field, or an alternative combination: master’s degree + 4 years; Ph.D. + 1 year; or 10 years of experience.
- Proven experience in digital marketing and communications across multiple brands or solutions within a large, matrixed enterprise organization.
- Demonstrated track record managing website and SEO programs across multiple sites or platforms.
- Deep expertise in website management, SEO/SEM, and CRO, including technical SEO such as site speed, crawlability, and structured data.
- Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress/WPVIP) plus front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS), with familiarity with light back-end concepts.
- Proficiency with web and SEO analytics tools including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Hotjar, Clarity, and SEMrush, and experience building dashboards and reporting.
- Working knowledge of project management tooling (e.g., Monday.com) and expert-level Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with emerging search trends including AI overviews and AEO.
- Experience with experimentation and personalization platforms (Optimizely or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of marketing automation and CRM integrations (Salesforce, Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot, SFMC).
- Skilled analytical thinking for interpreting web and search data to produce data-driven recommendations.
- Skilled business process management for scalable, repeatable processes and web operations documentation.
- Skilled consulting to provide technical and strategic guidance to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Skilled technology awareness for applying emerging web and search technologies to improve results.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail and minimal guidance.
- Experience leveraging AI tools and platforms for content optimization, web operations, and search visibility.
- Travel requirement: 5%.

Compensation
- Base salary range: $92,300.00 - $153,900.00 per year.
- Base pay may vary within the anticipated range based on ultimate location and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- May be eligible for additional compensation including an incentive program.
