Job Description
International Education Management (IEM) Student Exchange is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead marketing efforts for its international education programs. In this onsite role in San Diego, CA, you will own the marketing plan and guide campaigns from early idea through launch, measurement, and ongoing improvement. The work centers on shaping content and inquiry generation for students, families, education agents, and school partners.
You will coordinate multi-channel campaign execution, strengthen the pathways from website content to qualified inquiries, and use performance insights to refine what drives progress toward applications.
What you’ll do
- Develop and own annual and quarterly marketing plans for IEM Student Exchange and Q International School programs, including defined audiences, campaign priorities, budget recommendations, and clear measures of success.
- Lead integrated campaigns end to end, starting from brief and messaging through production, launch, measurement, and improvement across web, email, search, social, webinars, and partner channels.
- Improve website content, search visibility, landing pages, and inquiry paths, and coordinate technical implementation with the appropriate team or vendor.
- Guide marketing operations in HubSpot, including audience segments, email nurture, lead source tracking, and clear handoffs to recruitment and admissions.
- Analyze traffic, qualified inquiries, conversion, and progress toward applications; identify data gaps, report performance and return on marketing spend where possible, and recommend next steps.
- Direct content and creative assets with colleagues and vendors, maintaining messaging clarity, factual accuracy, and brand consistency across international audiences.
- Test AI and emerging tools for research, content production, and analysis, ensuring quality and accuracy while protecting student and family information.
- Manage project timelines, contributors, vendors, and approved budgets; address blockers, review campaign progress monthly, and present results and priorities quarterly.
What you bring
- 5+ years of relevant marketing experience, or equivalent results, with demonstrated ownership of campaigns from strategy through measurement.
- Strong writing and creative judgment, with the ability to make education choices clear to students, families, agents, and partners.
- Proven skills with CRM and email automation, web analytics and conversion tracking, SEO, AEO, and paid and organic campaigns; experience with HubSpot and GA4 or comparable platforms.
- Strong AI fluency, including knowing where it helps and reviewing work for accuracy, brand voice, and privacy.
- Ability to translate research and performance data into priorities, manage multiple projects, and coordinate across teams without losing momentum.
- Experience in international education or marketing to diverse global audiences is a plus.
