Versiti integrates donor services with scientific research and precision medicine, supporting transfusion medicine, transplantation, stem cell and cellular therapies, oncology, and genomics. This role contributes to advancing community health by promoting blood donation and related services through targeted, locally tailored marketing efforts.

Position Summary
The strategist develops and executes localized marketing and communications plans to enhance donor participation and awareness for Versiti's blood services. This position collaborates closely with the donor engagement team, AVPs, and field marketing to translate strategic goals into actionable programs, while ensuring consistency with Versiti's brand and messaging.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee localized marketing plans aligned with organizational objectives to recruit, retain, and engage donors.
- Lead the strategy and execution of promotions that support blood and platelet collections across the state.
- Provide logistical and promotional support for special blood drives, donor recognition events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Analyze regional data to monitor campaign performance and donor engagement metrics, delivering actionable recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, businesses, schools, and media; secure impactful in-kind donations and sponsorships to drive blood collection during challenging periods.
- Implement local initiatives arising from corporate partnerships, ensuring alignment with regional marketing efforts.
- Address inquiries related to local and state promotions and marketing, delivering timely, effective responses.
- Produce compelling marketing content, including flyers, digital ads, newsletters, and social media posts; ensure strong copywriting for cross-channel needs (print, radio, social).
- Draft and distribute media alerts under guidance from the PR department, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Maintain consistent representation of the Versiti brand in all communications, adhering to messaging, tone, and design guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison among field operations, corporate marketing, and communications to align initiatives and meet regional needs, exercising influence without direct authority.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the role as required or assigned.
- Understand and operate in accordance with applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Comply with standard operating policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field required.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications, or related fields, with preference for healthcare, non-profit, or community engagement sectors.
- Strategic marketing planning: ability to develop localized strategies aligned with organizational goals using market research to tailor campaigns.
- Content creation: advanced skills in producing diverse marketing materials with proficiency in design software and content management systems.
- Customer service orientation: commitment to delivering exceptional service to donors and stakeholders.
- Time management: strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
