Content and Marketing Manager
Job Description
Jackson LLP Healthcare Lawyers invites applications for a remote contract role as Content and Marketing Manager to lead the firm’s content and marketing operations. The position entails editing and refining content, managing the editorial calendar, overseeing SEO and reporting, and coordinating with firm leadership. It requires a commitment of 25 to 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Edit blog posts, service pages, and other materials for clarity, readability, and brand voice, delivering drafts near publication quality for attorney review.
- Oversee the editorial calendar and content pipeline within the firm’s project management system, tracking assignments and maintaining production schedules.
- Assign and define scopes for projects handled by the firm’s content team.
- Manage recurring marketing content such as LinkedIn updates, Google Business Profile entries, and Mailchimp newsletters.
- Optimize content for search and advance the firm’s SEO roadmap, including keyword research and content gap analysis.
- Coordinate publication and site updates with the firm’s website team.
- Review and art-direct freelance design work, including ebooks, logos, and web assets, and evaluate designers as new work arises.
- Monitor marketing performance and regularly report on lead flow and related pipeline metrics.
- Identify opportunities to update, consolidate, or expand existing content and propose growth initiatives supported by data.
Requirements
- Experience managing a content operation or editorial workflow.
- Solid on‑page SEO knowledge with hands-on use of a major SEO platform (such as Ahrefs or Semrush) for keyword research and content gap analysis.
- Analytical proficiency, including familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and comfort with recurring performance reporting.
- Ability to art-direct and quality-check freelance design work; hands-on design skills (Canva, Adobe, Figma) are a plus.
- Familiarity with an email marketing platform (such as Mailchimp) and WordPress.
- Prior content work for professional services audiences (legal, medical, accounting, financial advisory, or consulting) is strongly preferred.
- Highly organized, reliable, and capable of working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Personable, courteous, and clear in written communication.

Hours and Location
