NewTechCrew is seeking a project-based freelance SEO/website development and marketing professional to support Wix website builds, ongoing site maintenance, and performance marketing across Google Ads and social platforms. This role is based in Budd Lake, NJ with a hybrid setup, and work will be coordinated alongside a Wix freelancer under direction from a project leader.
Expect collaboration through planned updates and, when needed, camera-on Zoom sessions to review progress, discuss project details, and coordinate next steps. The work is ongoing on an as-needed basis, with compensation determined per project by scope and experience.
What you’ll do
- Build, update, and maintain websites using Wix.
- Improve Google Ads campaigns to support PPC performance.
- Develop and manage paid Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns.
- Use organic social promotion strategies to improve reach and engagement.
- Support SEO efforts to improve website visibility in search engines.
- Complete website updates, perform basic technical troubleshooting, and handle related maintenance.
- Collaborate with other freelancers and follow instructions from the project leader.
- Join camera-on Zoom meetings when required to discuss projects, review progress, and coordinate tasks.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience building and updating websites in Wix (practical experience is essential).
- Strong working knowledge of Facebook Ads and Instagram Ads, including both paid campaigns and organic promotion.
- Experience managing or improving Google Ads, PPC, and SEO.
- Ability to troubleshoot website issues and complete basic technical updates.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional, reliable, and responsive, with the ability to meet agreed deadlines.
- Comfort collaborating with other freelancers and following the project leader’s direction.
- Availability to participate in camera-on Zoom meetings when needed.
- Ability to demonstrate completed projects and explain your personal contributions.
Important note on website experience
AI website builder usage or generating website code with AI alone does not qualify as website development experience. Applicants must have personally built or updated websites and be able to demonstrate relevant, practical experience.

Compensation and work arrangement
This is a freelance, project-based position based in Budd Lake, NJ (hybrid). The salary listing is USD 30,000 per yearly, but actual compensation will depend on the project scope, your experience, and overall fit. Work will be assigned on an as-needed basis with the possibility of ongoing collaboration, and payment will be agreed for each project or assignment.
