Penn State University’s Student Affairs Communications and Marketing team in University Park is looking for a Part-Time Graphic Design Intern to help translate programs and services into engaging visuals for students. This onsite opportunity offers hands-on experience in creating print and digital assets, shaping visual concepts, and contributing to campaigns aimed at a student audience.
Role overview
Part-time Graphic Design Intern supporting Student Affairs Communications and Marketing, assisting in developing print and digital assets and collaborating on visual concepts and campaigns for student audiences.
Responsibilities
- Support the production of print and digital assets for a variety of uses across all Student Affairs units and programs.
- Collaborate with professional design staff to develop visual concepts and campaigns with university-wide impact.
- Share ideas clearly and actively while accepting feedback and guidance in a constructive manner.
Requirements
- Proficiency with design software, including the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
- Familiarity with Penn State brand standards and the ability to apply both university and division branding elements creatively and appropriately.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.
