The Digital Marketing Coordinator supports the Guest Experience team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC on site. This role concentrates on photo and video content, social media, email, and website initiatives to grow followers, boost engagement, and drive meal plan sales in collaboration with operations and corporate marketing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and curation of photo and video content for the Carolina Dining Services website, social channels, and digital newsletters.
- Support the development, implementation, and execution of the client brand strategy.
- Maintain active social media platforms with innovative content strategies and consistent execution.
- Ensure rapid turnaround and timely delivery of content to meet project deadlines.
- Plan and execute results-driven campaigns on social platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
- Leverage analytics to inform strategy, content, and engagement with measurable goals.
- Provide basic leadership and direction to social media interns.
- Manage website content, enhancements, and ongoing development.
- Conduct on-site market research initiatives including digital surveys.
- Drive innovation through technology by delivering a strategic marketing plan and implementation support for digital screens and mobile applications.
- Support the operations team in launching innovations that contribute to profit growth.
- Stay current with emerging trends in video marketing and share insights with the broader marketing team.
- Support the development and execution of internal marketing strategies to increase meal plan sales, engagement, thought leadership, and brand awareness.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of diverse experience in marketing, social media, or related roles is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop and Premier Pro, or equivalent editing tools with a strong design sense.
- Experience with photo and video projects, including shooting and editing.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter capable of working independently or collaboratively with a team of creators and project managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, media, communications, or a related field is preferred.
