Job Description

Senior Manager of Viral Marketing at BMG in Los Angeles, CA (hybrid) will design and deploy in-house paid and social campaigns with a focus on emerging platforms to accelerate music discovery online. Salary: USD 75,000 - 85,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead viral, UGC-driven, and platform-native campaigns to amplify music discovery.
  • Research and pilot new digital marketing formats, strategies, and distribution tactics.
  • Maintain and organize databases of creator accounts across sizes and niches.
  • Monitor performance, run controlled tests across audiences and formats, and use analytics and MROI to optimize campaigns.
  • Identify rising platform behaviors, trends, and discovery patterns and translate them into live activations.
  • Support centrally led digital activations that serve as testbeds for new marketing approaches.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing, paid media, analytics, and artist teams to align on deployment and insights.
  • Develop lightweight workflows and internal tools to streamline campaign execution and creator tracking.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate creative development, testing velocity, analysis, and optimization.

Requirements

  • Experience planning and executing paid and/or social campaigns, in-house or agency side.
  • Deep understanding of how music is discovered and spreads across platforms and culture.
  • Proficiency with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, and other emerging community-driven spaces.
  • Experience working with UGC, creator ecosystems, or page-based distribution models.
  • Ability to organize creator databases, coordinate campaign logistics, and track performance.
  • Analytical mindset with track record using performance data and MROI to guide decisions.
  • Creative instincts paired with hands-on execution and experimentation.
  • Familiarity with paid media platforms, AI tools, and modern marketing workflows.
  • Experience with automation, internal tools, and connected systems such as Airtable, no-code tools, and APIs.
