Job Description

Institute on Aging is looking for a strategic growth leader to guide outreach, brand positioning, and revenue expansion across its service portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this onsite role in San Francisco brings together enterprise marketing, communications, business development, and sales to broaden market reach, strengthen referral relationships, and deepen engagement.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with the Chief Growth Officer to define and execute enterprise growth strategy.
  • Build and lead an integrated marketing and sales roadmap aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Find, prioritize, and pursue growth opportunities across service lines, geographies, and partnerships.
  • Own brand strategy, positioning, and messaging for differentiation across key audiences.
  • Lead integrated marketing efforts spanning digital, content, PR, events, and community engagement.
  • Drive demand generation through targeted campaigns and lifecycle marketing.
  • Use data and analytics to continuously improve performance and ROI.
  • Lead and scale a high-performing sales and business development function.
  • Grow and optimize referral pipelines across providers, payers, community organizations, and government partners.
  • Establish and scale strategic partnerships to increase access and utilization of services.
  • Implement disciplined sales processes, forecasting, and performance management systems.
  • Own the marketing and sales technology stack, with HubSpot as the system of record for pipeline, customer, and partner data.
  • Drive full adoption, data integrity, and ongoing optimization of HubSpot across marketing and sales teams.
  • Establish data governance, lifecycle stages, and lead management processes.
  • Build and enhance dashboards and analytics for full-funnel visibility from lead generation through conversion and retention.
  • Optimize system integrations and data flows to support attribution, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Apply market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis to inform strategy.
  • Identify new revenue streams and support development of innovative programs and services.
  • Collaborate on pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Partner with operations and program leadership to support seamless customer experiences.
  • Support development and fundraising efforts through integrated campaigns and messaging when appropriate.
  • Represent the organization publicly as a visible external leader and ambassador.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across marketing, communications, and sales.
  • Foster a performance-driven, collaborative, mission-aligned culture.
  • Manage budgets strategically to maximize growth impact and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
  • 12–15+ years of leadership experience in marketing, sales, or growth roles.
  • Proven success partnering with or reporting into a Chief Growth Officer (or equivalent revenue leader).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive measurable growth in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience in healthcare, aging services, nonprofit, or other mission-driven organizations preferred.
  • Hands-on leadership with CRM platforms including HubSpot and Salesforce, with implementation, governance, reporting, and optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation

$225,000 - $255,000 per year (range). Compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors. This range does not include potential additional equity, benefits, or other non-monetary compensation.

Location: San Francisco, CA (onsite)
