Job Description
This role leads the design and execution of account-based marketing strategies to accelerate AWS adoption within private equity, with a global scope across Tier 0/1 firms and their portfolio companies. It is an onsite position in Arlington, VA, offering a salary range of USD 142,000 to 211,200 per year and requiring at least nine years of professional marketing experience.
Responsibilities
- Private equity firm level ABM strategy: design and implement ABM programs for Tier 0 and Tier 1 PE firms, including examples such as Blackstone, KKR, Francisco Partners, Permira, and Thoma Bravo; tailor messaging for Operating Partners, Investment Partners, and deal teams to match each firm’s investment thesis and portfolio priorities.
- Portfolio company demand generation: craft targeted campaigns to grow AWS adoption across PE-backed portfolio companies, prioritizing Greenfield PortCos, early post-acquisition engagement, and industry-specific value opportunities across FSI, Healthcare and Life Sciences, ISV, Retail, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and Education.
- GenAI and strategic playbook marketing: develop ABM motions aligned with the PE BD playbooks, covering GenAI adoption, VMware migrations, carve-outs, database modernization, and Technical Due Diligence support; produce content and campaigns that move portfolio companies from awareness to active adoption.
- Executive engagement programs: plan and execute high-touch activities including PE-specific Executive Briefing Centers, CxO roundtables, portfolio company events hosted by PE firms, and PE focused programming at industry events; build relationships with PE Operating Partners and Investment Partners to extend portfolio-wide influence.
- Content and thought leadership development: generate PE-specific content such as personalized eBooks and case studies (examples include KKR and Omnissa VMware migration, Blackstone and HealthEdge GenAI), plus industry insights for Investment Partners and multi-channel digital content distribution across email, LinkedIn, content hubs, and events.
- Cross-functional collaboration: partner with PE BD Managers, firm-aligned Solutions Architects, Specialists, field sales teams, and global marketing peers across EMEA and APJC to ensure ABM motions align with BD priorities and the four-tier PE coverage model; coordinate with field marketing, global campaigns, Partner marketing, and the PE Partner program for a cohesive market presence.
- Measurement and performance optimization: define and track ABM metrics such as pipeline influenced, PE firm engagement scores, portfolio conversion rates, Greenfield-to-Engaged conversions, PPA influence, and revenue attribution; build dashboards and share results with PE BD leadership and senior marketing leadership; continuously optimize programs based on performance data and field feedback, implementing a structured lead-tracking approach across the lifecycle.
- Scalable playbook and center of excellence: employ repeatable ABM frameworks, templates, and engagement playbooks that scale globally as the PE marketing function matures; document best practices and contribute to the AWS ABM Center of Excellence; advocate ABM best practices across the PE BD organization and demonstrate marketing-led growth in complex ecosystem selling.
