Job Description
DeWaard & Bode, a retailer based in Bellingham, Washington, is seeking a Marketing Director to steer an omni-channel strategy that brings together traditional media, digital channels, and eCommerce. The role focuses on aligning marketing initiatives with growth, ROI, and customer engagement across all touchpoints. This onsite position offers an opportunity to lead a cross-functional team and partner network to strengthen the brand and drive online and in-store performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive omni-channel marketing plan that supports growth and profitability, including eCommerce initiatives.
- Lead annual and ongoing marketing planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across all channels.
- Own marketing strategy, resource allocation, and relationships with agencies and vendors to ensure ROI alignment with business goals.
- Oversee marketing technology, platforms, tools, and team performance to boost effectiveness and efficiency.
- Direct strategy, media buying, budgeting, and content creation for traditional and digital broadcast channels, including radio (terrestrial and streaming) and television (linear, OTT, and connected TV).
- Manage legacy and modern media partnerships across print, digital publications, sponsorships, and community collaborations.
- Lead paid media strategy with agency partners across Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, and other platforms.
- Drive audience acquisition, engagement, and conversion through data-driven marketing and campaign optimization.
- Own the digital marketing ecosystem, including SEO, SEM, paid media, social commerce, and analytics.
- Develop and execute the company’s eCommerce strategy to grow online revenue and enhance customer experience.
- Collaborate with IT, UX/UI and digital teams to optimize website performance, mobile experience, site structure, and conversion rates.
- Oversee analytics, attribution modeling, and performance dashboards to guide decision-making and maximize ROI.
- Coordinate in-store marketing and communications such as signage, point-of-purchase materials, messaging, and merchandising displays.
- Plan and execute major sales events, sponsorships, and community partnerships that boost customer engagement and brand visibility.
- Launch and manage customer loyalty and rewards programs.
- Maintain consistent pricing across retail locations and digital platforms.
- Foster strategic relationships with industry partners, media outlets, and creative collaborators.
- Represent the company with Nationwide Marketing Group, including conference participation, program implementation, and technology adoption.
- Manage marketing subscriptions, creative production tools, and third-party applications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in marketing strategy, digital advertising, media buying, and brand management.
- Strong experience managing budgets, agencies, vendors, and cross-functional partnerships.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing performance metrics, analytics, attribution, and eCommerce.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Retail, consumer products, and/or multi-location experience preferred.

Compensation and Location
- Location: Bellingham, WA (onsite)
- Salary: USD 80,000 - 120,000 per year
