TEC offers an onsite Marketing Communications Specialist role in Jackson, MS designed for writers and organizers who collaborate across teams and markets. You will work across residential and business sectors, engage with marketing platforms like HubSpot, Google Ads, and Meta Ads, and help plan and execute communications that align with brand messaging. This position emphasizes cross-functional coordination, structured campaigns, and access to centralized planning resources to support your work across channels and communities.
Responsibilities
- Write and tailor marketing copy for email campaigns, website content, print materials, digital advertisements, and internal communications to support initiatives across residential and business markets.
- Draft and coordinate customer communications, including service notifications, updates, and operational announcements, ensuring clarity and alignment with company messaging standards.
- Coordinate the execution of marketing campaigns across channels including email, digital advertising, social media, and market-specific initiatives.
- Maintain and manage a centralized marketing calendar tracking campaign launches, optimizations, email communications, community events, sponsorships, and market-specific activities.
- Assist with campaign set-up and execution within marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Google Ads, and Meta Ads, supporting the building and launching of digital and email campaigns.
- Develop working knowledge of campaign performance across platforms to maintain visibility in email activity, digital advertising, market campaigns, construction communications, and overall marketing funnel progression.
- Perform campaign quality assurance to ensure messaging accuracy, proper timing, and execution consistency prior to campaign launch.
- Contribute campaign ideas and promotional concepts after onboarding, supporting the development of quarterly marketing initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve campaign performance and engagement.
- Maintain awareness of campaign progress across markets and proactively communicate updates, gaps, and opportunities to the marketing team.
- Coordinate press releases and media submissions, maintain media contact lists, and support outreach efforts to local media partners.
- Manage advertising placements, schedules, and vendor deadlines, and serve as a liaison with media vendors and partners as needed.
- Coordinate marketing activities related to vendor-supported products and partner programs and serve as the marketing point of contact for communication and promotions.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal marketing requests, gathering necessary information, routing requests appropriately, and supporting communication between marketing, sales, and other departments.
- Maintain organized marketing content libraries, including campaign messaging, finalized assets, and marketing materials, ensuring teams have access to current and approved resources.
- Support event logistics and marketing communications for community engagement activities, partnerships, and sponsorships, and assist with marketing support for local events as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred (equivalent professional experience may be considered).
- 1 to 4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or campaign coordination is preferred.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt messaging across multiple platforms and audiences.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, and marketing automation systems such as HubSpot is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability.

Education / Experience
