Job Description

This onsite role in Fort Myers, FL helps drive day-to-day marketing and communications initiatives in alignment with sales and recruiting, while working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer. You will also be part of a larger organization with 1500+ employees delivering large scale commercial construction projects across Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and businesses aligned with B & I’s mission.
  • Coordinate community outreach and team building initiatives, tracking participation and results to measure impact.
  • Coordinate and schedule executive and management participation in branding and marketing events.
  • Execute the marketing plan in alignment with sales strategies and recruiting initiatives, and contribute ideas during annual planning.
  • Collaborate with business development and recruiting teams to maintain consistent messaging and execution.
  • Develop, update, and maintain company branding materials in line with brand standards.
  • Coordinate day to day work with external branding and marketing consultants and vendors.
  • Organize and maintain trade show materials, including booth design, visual assets, logos, promotional items, and marketing handouts.
  • Coordinate logistics for trade shows and industry events, scheduling leadership and team participation.
  • Coordinate sponsorship advertising and promotional items for events.
  • Prepare and complete annual industry and local business recognition submissions, including (as applicable) Gulf Coast Business Review, Southeast Construction, Gulfshore Business, Engineering News-Record, additional publications identified, and Local ABC Chapters.
  • Research new industry recognition opportunities and provide recommendations to the Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Maintain company website content for accuracy, consistency, and timely updates, including company content and photography, departmental changes, and awards and recognitions.
  • Manage content creation, scheduling, and posting across social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn, and track engagement.
  • Coordinate advertising processes, including creative development, media placement, and vendor communication.
  • Produce and maintain photography, video, graphic design, and print visuals, both directly and through vendors.
  • Develop visuals, layouts, and creative assets for proposal submissions.
  • Plan and execute customer and partner events.
  • Maintain and periodically update B & I promotional literature used for submitting RFQs, including employee resumes, previous project write ups, and promotional literature for BIM, prefabrication, safety, community support, and similar areas, plus project specific RFQ submissions.
  • Directly manage the regional marketing team alongside the Chief Revenue Officer, including assigning work, setting priorities, and providing day to day guidance.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training; hold regular check ins tied to performance reviews.
  • Ensure brand standards and messaging are applied consistently across all regional offices.
  • Draft monthly and/or quarterly press releases for Chief Revenue Officer review, including new hires and promotions, new projects, and company announcements.
  • Write copy for storytelling initiatives, internal communications, and executive remarks; support public relations efforts and crisis communication plans under the direction of the Chief Revenue Officer.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of previous marketing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years supervising or leading staff.
  • Familiarity with construction, particularly the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing trades.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, social media management tools, and website content management systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changes, manage demands, and handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and technical skills.
  • Dependability: consistently on time, follows instructions, responds to direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed for community and company events.
  • Experience and/or common understanding of the commercial construction industry is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment.
  • Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury.
