Digital Marketing Strategist
Job Description
In this onsite role at Caring Network in Glen Ellyn, IL, you will own the strategy and execution behind the organization’s digital growth. Working closely with the VP of Direct Response and the Director of Communications, you’ll focus on brand engagement, stronger donor journeys, and digital fundraising performance across key channels.
What you’ll do
- Define and build a national social media and digital engagement strategy to drive brand awareness and engagement, support the mission, and grow digital fundraising.
- Manage digital efforts across paid and organic channels, including social media, current donation pages, and creating new donation pages; direct vendors and partners to produce content aligned with brand guidelines.
- Improve and maintain donor journeys to strengthen donor experience and increase conversion rates.
- Support integration with Virtuous, including setting up codes, pulling an email list, sending emails, and related campaign operations.
- Oversee Caring Network’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Establish KPIs and build reporting that tracks performance metrics such as clicks, average time on pages, page visits, conversions, and average gift across digital efforts.
- Create, edit, and contribute to copy across multiple channels to align with brand goals and platform-specific nuances.
- Identify emerging platforms, tools, and trends to expand reach and engagement.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing; marketing and/or project management experience preferred.
- Ability and willingness to keep learning and improving, with commitment to the mission.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Learning about data and lists, including overseeing the list selection process; learning and pulling reports, understanding why different reports matter.
- Ability to adhere to a content style guide while creating content that drives organic traffic, and fine-tune journeys to optimize conversions.
- Schedule includes 4 days per week in the office.

Salary: USD 75,000 - 85,000 per year.

- Revenue: $850,000
- Conversion Rate Target: 0.80%
- Monthly donors: 150+, compared to the same month in the previous year
