Job Description
Lead branding and marketing communications that help TISTA present clearly and consistently to federal customers, industry partners, and public audiences.
Responsibilities
- Establish TISTA’s visual identity and branding standards; serve as the single authority for brand application
- Maintain consistent, streamlined brand execution across communication channels and platforms
- Develop marketing communications toolkit templates, brand guidelines, and best practices to enable other teams to produce on-brand work
- Own marketing communications strategy for brand and market-facing campaigns, ensuring consistent external messaging and alignment with the enterprise communications plan
- Create and manage marketing materials and collateral with on-brand quality and delivery to deadline
- Prepare promotional support for events such as trade shows, conferences, and industry gatherings, including booth presence
- Implement campaigns, track effectiveness, and make course corrections as required
- Plan and execute brand-related PR initiatives and reputation management in coordination with the Communications Manager
- Develop, support, research, and produce content for TISTA’s website and digital platforms and other industry platforms (including LinkedIn and YouTube, plus OrangeSlices and others)
- Create, design, draft, and edit written and visual deliverables; provide quality assurance across deliverables
- Produce executive-level presentations and memoranda, including graphics and narrative
- Create and maintain Marketing Communications Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Build, maintain, and manage marketing communications library briefings and promotional material, plus website and imagery assets on TISTA SharePoint sites
- Solicit marketing and communications input from stakeholders across technical and business disciplines; translate input into common, plain messaging
- Partner with program managers to draft messaging and presentations for their programs
- Attend stakeholder meetings to research and develop content that supports solutions to complex problems
- Coordinate with internal teams (communications, quality, strategic) to gain required approvals on content and accuracy
- Maintain marketing communications components of the enterprise communications plan and deliver projects in coordination with the Communications Manager and other interested parties
Requirements
- 5+ years of related marketing communications experience, including at least 3 years proofreading and editing across corporate communications
- Self-starter who drives to meet and exceed business goals
- Expert PowerPoint skills including multiple masters, color themes, animations, actions, and video; portfolio demonstrating these skills required
- Expert skills in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
- Expert skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro
- Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements for content creation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience producing executive-level presentations and memoranda
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills; creativity and ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and as part of a team
- Detail oriented with ability to manage ambiguity in daily operations
- Good judgment for confidential and sensitive issues
- Ability to obtain an MBI clearance

- Hybrid work location also listed as Austin, TX or the Washington, DC metro area (DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia)
- Travel: approximately 15%, primarily industry conferences and TISTA-related events
Clearance
- Ability to obtain a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI)
Pay Range
- $130,000 - $145,000 per year
- Actual salary offer will consider skills, qualifications, experience, and location
- Certain positions may be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses

What Success Looks Like in the First Year
- Develop and execute a collaborative company Marketing and Branding Plan
- Deliver a documented brand standard and a working toolkit that other teams use
- Create event schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and build marketing materials and collateral within proposed cycles
- Ensure TISTA’s conference presence, website, and collateral read as one company
- Establish OKRs to measure and track campaign performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Federal contracting or GovCon marketing experience
- Certifications supporting marketing and branding functional areas such as SharePoint and web design/management and Photoshop
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, English/Journalism, or a related field or equivalent.
