Brand and Marketing Specialist
Job Description
The Brand and Marketing Specialist is an execution-focused generalist role at LifeStraw, designed for someone who can manage marketing intake, keep projects moving, and support sales enablement. Based in Baltimore, MD (onsite), this position partners closely with the Senior Brand Manager and supports the marketing team across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and repurpose high-quality campaign content, including blog posts, website content, email campaigns, and social media.
- Support consumer feedback efforts by running surveys and producing analysis of findings.
- Maintain a consistent cadence of marketing reporting to share performance data with key stakeholders.
- Create light graphics in Canva, including social media graphics, email banners, event promotions, infographics, and branded collateral.
- Own the Asana workspace, including project templates, task structure, custom fields, due dates, dashboards, and user onboarding.
- Own the shared marketing request tracker and master marketing and sales calendar in Asana, covering launches, campaigns, promos, retail resets, and trade shows.
- Own the marketing request intake form and triage queue, routing every incoming request from Sales, Ecommerce, and internal stakeholders to the right owner with an attached due date, and confirming receipt to the requester.
- Review every creative brief for completeness before it reaches Creative, chasing missing information directly rather than passing incomplete briefs forward.
- Act as the intake gatekeeper for ad-hoc or under-briefed requests, ensuring they follow the intake process before reaching Creative.
- Maintain and enforce SOPs for creative briefs, timelines, approval workflows, and file handoff.
- Run the weekly cross-functional sync with Sales and Marketing, including agenda, notes, action items, and follow-up.
- Own end-to-end Bynder DAM management: uploads, naming conventions, metadata tagging, collections, and user permissions.
- Serve as the first responder on all asset requests from Sales, Ecommerce, retail partners, PR, and creators.
- Process new approved creative into the DAM with correct tagging by product, channel, and campaign so the right file is easy to find.
- Track asset usage rights and expirations (talent, photography, licensed imagery), flagging items approaching expiry to the Senior Brand Manager.
- Build and share curated DAM collections and links for retail partners, distributors, and press, retiring outdated assets to prevent incorrect pack shots from being used.
- Own the sell sheet, sales catalogue, one-pager, and trade show materials library, keeping it current and organized by channel.
- Coordinate with the Senior Brand Manager to ensure launch kits include all sales-facing deliverables on schedule.
- Track which materials each Sales channel is using and flag gaps.
- Assist with scheduling organic social posts, loading captions and assets, and compiling weekly engagement reporting.
- Load and refresh copy, imagery, A+ content, and video on Amazon and retailer portals, and flag outdated or missing content for updates.
- Maintain the weekly and monthly marketing performance recap using the established template, pulling from Amazon, retail POS, GA, email, and social, and ensuring it is compiled accurately and on time.
- Manage operational details for trade shows and events, including booth collateral, printed materials, sample and product shipments, giveaway inventory, shipping deadlines, packing lists, and post-show reconciliation.
- Coordinate product samples and seeding shipments for press, creators, and Sales, keeping the tracking log current.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing coordination, brand operations, or project management at a consumer brand.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with a project management tool (Asana preferred; Monday.com, Wrike, Trello, or Smartsheet considered), including building projects and templates.
- Hands-on experience with a digital asset management platform (Bynder preferred; Brandfolder, Widen, Canto, or similar considered).
