Job Description
BDO USA offers a senior portfolio marketing leadership role in Grand Rapids, onsite, with a salary range of USD 107,000 to 130,000 per year. The Senior Manager – Portfolio Marketing develops and implements integrated marketing programs and go-to-market strategies for specific business lines, industries, and firm-wide service solutions, partnering with leadership to maximize market share, client satisfaction, and ROI.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to business line and business development leaders; drive the creation of integrated marketing plans and strategies for business lines, industries, or firm-wide service solutions that achieve business goals
- Collaborate with other marketing teams to manage development and execution from a marketing perspective
- Lead integrated campaigns across the full funnel to move prospects through the buyer's journey
- Oversee programs including organic and paid social and search, digital campaigns, account-based marketing (ABM), events, webinars, and website copy for business lines or solutions
- Develop messaging architecture for buyer groups and define the value proposition and messaging platform; align buyer personas and client pain points to services with an audience-first approach
- Share best practices and pursue continuous learning of leading marketing practices
- Analyze the ROI of marketing programs, including leads, pipeline, and revenue, and use metrics to optimize strategies and evolve programs
- Support relationships with external integrated marketing partners including media relations, event support, advertising, agency partners, and vendors
- Travel as needed
- Provide direction and coordination for the execution of business line related events, sponsorships, and speaking engagements such as conferences, seminars, trade shows, regional events, and roundtables
- Work with the Events team to meet deadlines and maximize sponsorship opportunities
- Plan and manage event budgets
- Collaborate with Training and Development in planning NASBA-qualified CPE events for clients and prospects
- Manage follow-up plans to maximize ROI from events, developing and managing lists
- Develop digitally driven content marketing strategy for specific business lines or firm-wide service solutions, collaborating with marketing teams and practice leaders across Advisory, Tax, Assurance and Industry
- Develop, review, and edit marketing content across all media to ensure targeted, on-brand messaging; manage the review process with marketing and client service professionals as well as compliance reviews
- Consult with relevant subject matter experts and stakeholders on messaging, materials, or tactics to achieve business objectives
- Create new content when needed for integrated campaigns, marketing and event materials and other communications
- Work with business line leaders to develop business line or solution oriented campaigns and programs that align with business objectives
- Collaborate with the digital/automation, email, web, and social teams to execute digital campaigns and content
- Contribute and share best practices across the firm
- Other duties as required
- Supervise marketing staff, as needed
- Serve as coach/mentor, supporting the career development of marketing professionals and peers across the firm as needed
- Develop performance goals for direct reports with input from business line marketing leadership as needed
- Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports with input from business line marketing leadership
- Discuss staffing recommendations (hires, terminations) with the business line marketing leader and participate in the interview process as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, required
- Seven (7) or more years of marketing, communications or event management experience, required
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required
