Job Description
Sound Off® is hiring a part-time player-coach Marketing Operations & Creative Manager to lead planning, coordination, and performance across the company’s marketing initiatives. This hybrid role in New York, NY partners closely with the CEO to set priorities, shape creative direction, and keep campaigns moving from brief to launch across social, email, web, and events.
You will own the marketing operating rhythm, including the marketing calendar and launch processes, while also guiding content strategy for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. The goal is consistent execution, clear visibility for leadership, and marketing work that authentically connects with fitness and wellness audiences.
Role Focus
- Work with the CEO to translate business strategy into actionable marketing priorities, campaign calendars, and launch plans.
- Set and maintain creative and messaging standards for campaigns that support brand awareness and event attendance for Sound Off’s fitness, yoga, wellness, and experiential activations.
- Oversee strategy and execution across social, email, web, and event channels, without personally managing day-to-day publishing or community comments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a centralized marketing production calendar with explicit deadlines, responsibilities, approval paths, and performance targets.
- Balance team capacity across channel growth, key events, revenue priorities, and long-term brand initiatives.
- Remove execution bottlenecks to ensure campaigns launch on time and fully aligned across social, email, web, and events.
- Provide the CEO with concise, regular visibility into marketing priorities, active campaigns, upcoming launches, and key performance metrics.
- Build and guide partnerships with studios, fitness creators, wellness instructors, run clubs, and lifestyle venues.
- Translate community engagement and organic event interest into commercial lead opportunities for Sales.
- Lead content strategy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including a rolling content calendar that uses customer stories, industry trends, and key brand moments.
- Create clear briefs and creative direction for the Marketing Coordinator, Copywriter, Graphic Designer, and Video Editor.
- Review channel performance regularly and make strategic adjustments as needed.
- Oversee marketing plans and ticket promotion strategies for Sound Off events across Eventbrite, SweatPals, and company web channels.
- Set up repeatable promotional playbooks, monitoring ticket sales velocity and implementing corrective tactics when performance lags.
- Lead integrated digital campaigns in HubSpot, including email workflows, segmentation, landing pages, and lead capture setups.
- Partner with RevOps to align campaign tracking, CRM data, and funnel performance.
- Provide high-level guidance for paid social campaigns, covering objectives, audience targeting, creative direction, and budget allocation.
- Maintain visual and verbal brand standards and uphold a high bar for creative quality.
- Prioritize creator, influencer, and community outreach and help turn organic engagement into commercial opportunities for Sales.
- Personally manage high-value strategic relationships or major partner co-promotions.
- Lead recurring marketing check-ins, establish documentation for core workflows, and keep leadership informed through concise, performance-driven reporting.
- Complete an audit of current marketing workflows and channels, then build a centralized production calendar with clear briefing and approval workflows.
- Assume full leadership over marketing prioritization and team check-ins, ensuring campaigns launch on schedule with minimal leadership intervention.
- Ensure event marketing follows a predictable, repeatable playbook with clear, regular visibility into performance and ROI.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive marketing experience across integrated campaigns, digital strategy, social media, and event promotion.
- Demonstrated track record driving marketing campaigns, event activations, or community growth within fitness, wellness, or experiential lifestyle sectors.
- Must be based in the Greater NYC area for hybrid collaboration, local event activations, and occasional travel to out-of-town trade shows, conferences, or major activations.
- Proven track record managing marketing calendars, coordinating team members or freelancers, and running structured launch processes.
- Experience overseeing creative direction, brand messaging, and content development across multiple digital channels.
- Working proficiency with HubSpot and Klayvio (listed as Klayvio/Klaviyo) for email marketing, segmentation, and lead management.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, paid ad concepts, and event management/ticketing tools such as Eventbrite and SweatPals.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- HubSpot proficiency is required.
- Able to build and manage marketing emails, landing pages, forms, lists, campaigns, and basic reporting.
- Works closely with RevOps to ensure marketing initiatives are properly tracked, measured, and integrated into the customer journey.
- English (required).
- New York, NY 10038 (required). Work location: Hybrid remote in New York, NY 10038.
