Marketing Specialist
Job Description
Geotek seeks a Marketing Specialist in Stewartville, MN with a hybrid work arrangement to develop and deploy product messaging and marketing communications, manage collateral and digital assets, and support sales through campaigns, websites, and events, with a salary range of USD 75,542 to 100,722 per year.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement product messaging across multiple product lines.
- Maintain collateral and digital assets, including brochures, customer presentations, websites, and sales aids.
- Project manage collateral refresh initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Product Managers to create and execute communication plans for all Geotek manufactured products.
- Partner with internal cross functional teams to craft technical product messaging for existing and new product lines.
- Coordinate internal and external communications to address customer value gaps and market opportunities; refine messaging based on product and market specifics.
- Produce photo and video content as needed.
- Oversee governance and consistency of product Brand Guidelines.
- Manage electronic communications via MailChimp and LinkedIn to end customers and sales channel partners.
- Administer multiple product websites and the corporate WordPress site in collaboration with the IT department.
- Coordinate Customer Plant Visits with Regional Sales teams, ensuring prepared product content and providing administrative support as required.
- Own sourcing, ordering, and inventory of product literature and sales aids; fulfill shipping requests to sales channels.
- Lead national and regional tradeshow participation, including registration, booth material development, shipping, and logistics; attend shows as required.
- Support internal and external product training in coordination with the Marketing Manager.
- Handle miscellaneous project management tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Navigate complex value chains in targeted markets, leveraging manufacturer representatives, understanding distributor influence, and engaging end users to maintain a preferred product position.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and understand multiple viewpoints to craft solutions that meet customer and business needs.
- 2 to 5 years of demonstrated success in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering within an industrial or manufacturing company, with the ability to articulate understanding of and interest in the other two functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including setting customer meetings, presenting positions, and capturing follow-up.
- Experience collaborating with a small team of commercially focused professionals in a largely horizontal manufacturing organization.
- Knowledge of the utility and or C&I industry is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Canva to produce polished visual assets across design, layout, and digital content.
- Experience using WordPress, MailChimp, and LinkedIn to manage content, campaigns, and audience engagement.
- Ability to navigate Google Analytics to extract data, build dashboards, and develop clear, actionable performance reports.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing communications, general business, or engineering-related fields is required.

Working Environment
- Location: Stewartville, MN headquarters with hybrid option available; candidate must be available on-site and flexible in hybrid arrangements to meet job requirements.
- Travel: low amount of domestic travel, less than 5%.
- Work setting: typical office environment with controlled indoor temperatures, standard lighting, and minimal noise.
- Production area visits may involve variable temperatures, higher noise levels, and exposure to dust, fumes, or airborne particles; PPE is required.
- Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 lbs; team lifts up to 75 lbs preferred but not required; occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and forward reaching as needed for packaging and loading product samples.
