Job Summary
The position directs strategic marketing and communications programs to elevate CURF's mission, increase visibility of Clemson's research portfolio, and advance technology commercialization efforts. It encompasses managing digital content, brand operations, publications, outreach, and the NSF I-Corps program.
Responsibilities
- Lead CURF's strategic marketing and communications program, aligning with Clemson Elevate and Division of Research priorities; coordinate cross-functional initiatives, plan and execute campaigns, and partner with university leaders and external stakeholders to raise awareness of Clemson research, innovation, and commercialization.
- Oversee digital content strategy and brand management across web, social channels, email, and multimedia; manage content calendars, workflows, analytics, and audience engagement; ensure consistent storytelling and brand integrity while supervising student interns and supporting content development.
- Develop and produce marketing collateral, newsletters, reports, presentations, videos, and promotional materials for academic, industry, funding, and entrepreneurial audiences; support outreach events, workshops, and initiatives that highlight Clemson research capabilities, intellectual property, and the innovation ecosystem.
- Coordinate operations and communications for Clemson's NSF I-Corps program, assisting entrepreneurial research teams with recruitment, scheduling, cohort coordination, workshop logistics, promotional outreach, and participant communications; collaborate with campus and external partners to raise awareness and participation in commercialization programming.
Requirements

Work Schedule
- Standard hours: 37.5 per week
Compensation Information
- Expected Salary Range: $66,400.00 - $75,000.00 per year
- Salary depends on factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines
Essential Personnel Level
- Normal Operations
- Required to follow emergency facility closure directives; not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations
