Festival Digital Content Manager, Marketing
Job Description
The Festival Digital Content Manager, Marketing supports Sundance Institute’s online Festival platform by crafting UX copy, updating CMS and WordPress content, and coordinating email campaigns. This temporary, full-time remote role runs from September 9, 2026 through February 2, 2027 and requires cross-department collaboration to inform platform copy.

Responsibilities
- Create and refine UX copy for core Festival information pages, including the homepage and How to Fest pages, as well as online marketing assets such as automated and targeted emails
- Interpret Festival logistics to produce updated copy and formatting that clearly communicates information to platform audiences (for example, the Ticketing page)
- Draft introductory blurbs for Festival platform pages such as the Festival Program Guide schedule and Venue pages
- Generate concise UX instructional copy, including page headers and explanatory text
- Enter regular copy updates in the CMS backend and WordPress in a timely manner
- Maintain ongoing proofreading and updates across platform copy
- Oversee project management of emails, including Festival newsletters and targeted emails
- Support project management of platform page updates, such as the homepage content calendar and mobile app notifications
- Collaborate across the Institute to gather Festival updates from multiple departments to inform platform copy for Festival audiences
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in copywriting and editing content for print and online marketing assets
- Proven ability to write succinct, clear copy for large-scale events or complex procedures
- Experience and comfort with understanding website UX
- Ability to translate complex information into accessible copy for a general audience
- Strong collaboration across departments and ability to meet deadlines
- Creative and analytical thinking to offer UX copy recommendations based on best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and familiarity with content management systems; WordPress and Elementor preferred
- Solid project management skills
- Knowledge of HTML preferred
- Legal authorization to work in the United States

Compensation
Salary: USD 1,111 - 1,352 per week
