Job Description
Based onsite in Huntsville, Alabama, this Senior Coordinator for Marketing and Public Relations supports the Director at Huntsville Hospital Health System. The role blends marketing, media relations, events and internal communications to promote the hospital system’s services and achievements.
Overview
Provides day-to-day assistance to the Director, including community relations, media relations, publications, event planning, internal communications and internal promotions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, departments, and physicians to develop marketing materials that clearly communicate the hospital system's services, events, and achievements.
- Work with the marketing team to design and implement integrated campaigns across digital, print, social channels, email, and traditional advertising.
- Support the development and execution of campaigns and initiatives for assigned service lines.
- Assist in managing social media platforms and content, actively engaging with the audience, responding to inquiries, and leveraging social media for brand promotion and public relations.
- Utilize Asana to monitor projects from inception to completion within set timelines, addressing obstacles, consolidating feedback, and obtaining required reviews and approvals.
- Stay current with healthcare marketing trends, advancements, and best practices and apply relevant strategies to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist with media relations, including coordinating interviews and securing story placements.
- Help manage relationships with external vendors and agencies to ensure the delivery of high-quality content and marketing materials.
- Serve as a member of the crisis management team.
- Coordinate photoshoots for campaigns, the website, and social media.
- Manage disaster-relations duties.
- Additional duties as assigned by the director.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Five or more years of experience in marketing or public relations, with healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media platforms, and content marketing strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project-management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Creative and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Collaborative team player who works well with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with project-management software such as Asana.
