Job Description

Contract Senior Marketing Consultant based in Elk Grove, CA (hybrid), with a monthly salary of USD 3,000, focusing on MLB/NFL assets and retail activation over a 3-6 month engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end creation of in-store marketing kits, signage, and interactive displays for premium sporting goods retailers; collaborate with spatial designers and vendor portals to ensure displays align with local store footprints; develop and deploy educational assets that translate sports science into clear materials.
  • Support MLB and NFL omni-channel campaigns by tracking deliverables, curating and scheduling assets featuring baseball and football ambassadors, and ensuring video loops, 3D product configurations, and retail lookbooks meet high-performance standards.
  • Monitor initial sell-through and campaign performance after first retail placements; synthesize consumer feedback, email capture metrics from digital sandboxes, and retail sales data to guide leadership in promotional pivots.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing integrated marketing campaigns with a focus on business-to-business marketing, demand generation, and performance-driven initiatives.
  • Strong skills in search optimization, social advertising (including Facebook), Google Analytics, Google Ads, WordPress, HTML, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Location: currently based in Sacramento County or the San Francisco Bay Area. The role offers remote flexibility, but local presence is required for on-site execution, athletic testing events, and retail coordination.
  • 3–4 years of marketing experience within Sports, Fitness, or Sports Technology sectors.
  • Elite brand storytelling capabilities, with familiarity of premium packaging used by category-defining brands such as Whoop, Oura, and Nike; ability to blend performance and injury-prevention metrics into aspirational narratives.
  • Solid knowledge of baseball and football training dynamics, culture, and terminology to engage core demographics authentically.
  • Strong project management skills to navigate 3- to 6-month sprints, budget allocation, cross-functional coordination, and meticulous documentation.
  • Proven leadership in guiding cross-functional teams in fast-paced settings; experience in advertising sales is a plus.
