Job Description

The Marketing Generalist role supports consistent branding and day-to-day marketing execution across print, digital, customer communications, web and Shopify, sales and product marketing, and events for Intellifarms Northern Division. This position is based onsite in Britton, SD and includes managing campaigns, monitoring performance, and coordinating lead routing to sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistent company branding across marketing channels and materials.
  • Create and update marketing collateral including ads, flyers, brochures, product sheets, signage, banners, and related assets.
  • Ensure product information stays current, including pricing, photos, and marketing claims.
  • Coordinate apparel, promotional products, printing, and outside marketing vendors.
  • Manage social and online advertising activities, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Ads, and Facebook posts and Ads.
  • Maintain a regular social media and advertising schedule.
  • Create and support digital content such as photos, videos, posts, and promotions.
  • Monitor online inquiries and route leads to the appropriate salesperson.
  • Track digital advertising performance and adjust campaigns as needed.
  • Manage customer emails, promotions, announcements, and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain customer and prospect marketing lists.
  • Promote products, seasonal specials, events, new technology, and service programs.
  • Develop campaigns for existing customers and new prospects.
  • Manage and update the company website and Shopify store, including product and content details.
  • Coordinate website changes with outside providers when necessary.
  • Support improvements to online visibility and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify products and services that should be promoted.
  • Create sales materials and lead-generation campaigns, and track where leads originate.
  • Distribute marketing leads appropriately and track marketing results across channels.
  • Learn the agricultural technology product line and explain benefits in clear, farmer-friendly terms.
  • Promote customer value including automation, labor savings, efficiency, grain management, and return on investment.
  • Support marketing for new products, technology, software features, and services.
  • Work with the farm show coordinator on farm shows and related events.
  • Plan customer appreciation events, demonstrations, open houses, promotions, and giveaways.
  • Prepare displays, literature, banners, and promotional materials for events and marketing placements.
  • Coordinate radio, print, digital, and agricultural media advertising.
  • Assist with interviews, press releases, product announcements, and other media opportunities.
  • Maintain a marketing calendar aligned to agricultural seasons, shows, promotions, and product launches.
  • Track the marketing budget and advertising expenses.
  • Monitor leads, website activity, email engagement, social media performance, and advertising results; report what is working and recommend adjustments.
  • Occasionally travel to customer locations, farm shows, and events.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to understand agriculture and willingness to learn technical agricultural products.
  • Strong organization and self-motivation with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Professional communication with customers, salespeople, vendors, and management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.

Compensation and Schedule

Pay: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year

Work location: In person (onsite in Britton, SD)

Schedule: Flexible schedule
