Job Description
Liberty Mutual seeks an Associate Marketing Manager for Email and Digital Channels to serve as the primary owner of the email program for Global Risk Solutions North America. The role covers strategy, end-to-end execution, optimization, and cross-channel digital support, and is based on site in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead subject matter expert for the email marketing channel, shaping strategy, overseeing execution, and driving ongoing optimization
- Coordinate end-to-end email campaigns using best practices, from planning and coding through testing, deployment, and performance reporting
- Manage the email calendar and distribution lists to control frequency, audience saturation, and prioritization
- Craft and advance journey-building strategies within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, designing paths that meet campaign goals and boost engagement
- Direct the A/B testing program for email, including test design, analysis, and applying insights to improve subject lines, content, design, and send parameters
- Maintain hygiene and governance of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud environment, including Data Extensions, lists, suppression lists, sender reputation, and platform health
- Serve as the internal point of contact for email platform administration, onboarding new users, coordinating with vendor support, troubleshooting, and ensuring consistent processes
- Collaborate with Creative Services to develop and maintain email templates and emails within SFMC, ensuring branding consistency and providing hands-on SFMC build support
- Identify and implement process improvements to email workflows and governance to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Leverage performance data, benchmarks, and audience insights to offer proactive recommendations and address stakeholder needs
- Stay informed on emerging email and digital trends, researching tools and approaches and presenting informed, forward-looking recommendations
- Work with channel owners in advertising, social media, and MarTech to understand each channel's strategy and tools, serving as a backup and continuity resource across the digital mix
- Provide support for social media and advertising programs, including asset requests, calendars, production trackers, scheduling, posting, and tagging
- Assist with day-to-day administration of the MarTech portfolio, including web CMS, digital asset management, video/webinar platforms, and sales enablement tools
- Lead the monthly email channel reporting, compiling performance data and translating insights into actionable recommendations for marketing partners
- Collaborate with internal teams to review metrics across individual sends and the overall email channel, translating findings into optimization opportunities
- Ensure the email strategy aligns with broader campaigns and marketing objectives, partnering with marketing managers to harmonize priorities and messaging
- Engage with enterprise partners to address platform needs, escalate issues, advocate for enhancements, and represent GRS North America Marketing within the SFMC ecosystem
- Coordinate with Marketing Strategy managers and channel colleagues to propose and develop integrated campaigns that support business priorities
- Present recommendations to marketing and cross-functional partners with clarity, showcasing channel expertise to drive best practices and execution excellence
- Contribute to the evolution of team processes and ways of working to improve overall performance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a channel owner or primary lead for email marketing or an equivalent digital channel
- Solid understanding of responsive email design and programming concepts
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email coding and debugging
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including journey building, A/B testing, and platform administration
- Ability to analyze channel performance data, extract insights, and turn findings into actionable recommendations
- Willingness to pursue education and growth to build marketing knowledge and email/digital channel excellence

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant, progressively responsible marketing experience
- Advanced knowledge of marketing communications principles and practices

- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
