Job Description
Visit Napa Valley is seeking a Website & Email Marketing Manager to lead the technical strategy, performance, and ongoing optimization of its website and email marketing programs. This onsite role in Napa, CA blends CMS ownership, SEO and AEO expertise, CRM and email operations, and support for connected marketing systems.
In this position, you will serve as a core platform expert, guiding how visitnapavalley.com is built and measured, how campaigns are produced and delivered, and how audiences are reached through data-driven email and related digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the organization’s CMS expert, overseeing website development and performance, including the design and execution of landing pages, navigation, content, and graphics for visitnapavalley.com.
- Own SEO and AEO strategy and enhance web features, including recommending improvements to performance metrics and collaborating with the Manager, Content Marketing to ensure blog and web content aligns with SEO and AEO best practices.
- Manage the CRM/email platform, including building and providing quality assurance for email campaigns aligned with the internal communications calendar, while staying current on email best practices and cross-platform digital opportunities.
- Use the CRM/email platform to draft, build, and proof email campaigns and landing pages, coordinating with the Manager, Content Marketing on list segmentation and send scheduling.
- Maintain and grow the email database, manage list segmentation, and drive overall email performance. Supervise Associate, Marketing Systems to ensure all incoming email contacts are properly entered and stored.
- Maintain Google Analytics and the CRM database, ensuring data cleanliness, accuracy, and proper reporting.
- Supervise Associate, Marketing Systems in digital signage programming for the True Omni kiosks and large-screen platform at the Napa Valley Welcome Center, including staff training on the software and ongoing best practices.
- Stay current on artificial intelligence applications and manage optimization of LLM model content search trends to maximize Visit Napa Valley visibility in AI searches.
- Manage the Granicus vendor CMS relationship, progress to platform super-user status, troubleshoot technical website issues, and coordinate with developers and vendors to maintain site health and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with VP Sales & Marketing on the design and development of a new website as a future project.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, information technology, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in digital platforms, including proven experience managing a CMS and overseeing website development and performance.
- Demonstrated experience leading SEO and AEO content strategy and optimization, alongside marketing database and email marketing program ownership.
- Hands-on experience with a CRM/email marketing platform, including building and managing campaigns with list segmentation and deployment.
- Experience building and optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
- Advanced knowledge of website analytics tools such as Google Analytics and CMS tools.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Up-to-date awareness of best practices in website management, email marketing, and measurement.
- Technical capability across Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, and other marketing-related tools.
- Creative, organized, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to self-start, multitask, and manage multiple projects at once, with strong prioritization, time management, and project management skills.
- Proven track record building relationships with internal stakeholders and external partner organizations.
- Willingness to apply strengths to projects beyond a finite set of responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: USD 80,000 - 105,000 per year (expected). Actual pay will be determined by experience, education, and qualifications.
