Job Description

Penn Highlands Healthcare is seeking a System Director of Marketing and Public Relations to lead the development and execution of marketing, communications, public relations, and fund development programs across the system. The role is intended to drive sustainable growth for the network’s hospitals, physician clinics, and home care agency while enhancing overall brand visibility. This onsite position is based in DuBois, Pennsylvania and partners with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment across the organization.

Experience

Minimum five years of public relations, marketing and/or fund development experience.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required in communications, public relations, marketing or business development, or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the leadership team in developing and launching marketing initiatives aimed at the system’s long-term growth across hospitals, physician clinics, and the home care agency.
  • Works to build awareness and positive perceptions of the system brand.
  • Oversees planning, development, and implementation of all marketing strategies, marketing communications, public relations activities, and fund development efforts, for both external audiences and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or business development, or combination of education and experience (required).
  • 5+ years of previous public relations, marketing and/or fund development experience.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to translate ideas into effective programs.
  • Demonstrated competence in digital communications and social media.
  • Ability to serve on project teams, work collaboratively, accept assignments and manage projects to successful deliverables.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven track record working with entrepreneurial C-level executives.
  • Outgoing individual with the ability to engage with people at all levels of various organizations.
