Job Description

New England Innovation Academy offers a collaborative, hands-on marketing role onsite in Marlborough, MA. This full-time, 12-month position carries a salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package. You will develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to promote NEIA across digital platforms, create high‑impact visual and written content, and support enrollment growth. Work with the marketing team and student clubs to turn ideas into campaigns that deliver measurable results in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Photograph and film classrooms, athletics, clubs, events, and daily student life to authentically reflect the NEIA experience.
  • Produce concise, engaging short-form video content that highlights the school’s mission and culture.
  • Write clear digital stories, captions, and newsletter copy aligned with NEIA’s brand voice, and monitor comments and messages to foster a positive online environment.
  • Design impactful materials for social media, print, and web that adhere to NEIA’s editorial and visual brand standards.
  • Support social media planning, scheduling, and day-to-day campaign activities across platforms.
  • Use analytics and platform insights to evaluate performance, identify trends, and optimize content delivery for better reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with student clubs and interns on marketing projects that connect classroom learning to real-world initiatives.
  • Offer creative ideas to campaigns, brand initiatives, and new marketing efforts across the school.
  • Assist with website design initiatives and provide ongoing maintenance.
  • Experiment, iterate, and move quickly within a creative, fast-paced environment.
  • Assist with coordination of school social and promotional events as needed.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by the position and the school.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, content creation, social media management, or related areas.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and clients.
  • Video and photography skills with familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar editing tools.
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Blackbaud, Flodesk or comparable email marketing platforms, website content management systems, and social media management platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

Salary and Benefits

Supervisory responsibilities

The Social Media & Digital Marketing Specialist does not supervise other NEIA staff.

Physical requirements

  • Stand or sit for extended periods
  • Bend, lift, push, kneel, crouch, crawl, and stoop as needed
  • Carry camera equipment and move around campus to capture content
  • Adapt to frequent changes in position throughout the workday
  • Hear and speak clearly to communicate in person or on the phone
  • Use hands and fingers for keyboarding, camera operation, and handling equipment
  • Good vision for close, distance, color, and depth perception
