Overview

Lead the marketing strategy for Céntrico shopping center, guiding strategic planning, public relations, digital marketing, events, tourism collaborations, tenant communications, internal messaging, and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the annual marketing plan across all platforms and channels to meet the mall and center objectives.
  • Develop campaigns that raise Céntrico brand awareness and highlight center offerings.
  • Apply innovative marketing tactics to address mall needs and opportunities.
  • Measure program performance against established KPIs and report insights.
  • Oversee production and use of promotional materials and collateral for in-mall activities, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Distribute mall communications materials created by agencies or advertisers in line with brand guidelines.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships and ensure alignment with the budget.
  • Monitor competitive activity, sales, and foot traffic to inform strategy; log tenant sales monthly and categorize by segment.
  • Forecast sales trends and take proactive steps to grow market share; secure collaborations with community organizations and municipalities for events at the mall.
  • Coordinate with digital agencies and PR partners to provide event information and media opportunities; maintain up-to-date media contacts and track press coverage.
  • Develop and execute an integrated online marketing strategy; lead the digital marketing team to increase visibility and site traffic using PPC, SEO, Google Ads, Google Analytics, email campaigns, blogs, forums, and social networks.
  • Measure return on investment and analyze results to guide decisions.
  • Keep website content current and manage domain renovations, SSL certificates, and related maintenance.
  • Maintain active presence on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok) and ensure content remains current.
  • Supervise internal and external digital marketing resources to guarantee brand alignment across channels.
  • Stay informed on new developments in digital technology and motivate the team to achieve objectives.
  • Plan and execute special events to raise awareness, traffic, and sales; establish KPIs and evaluate performance against marketing goals.
  • Develop collaborations with brands and companies sharing similar values; align efforts with holidays and sales to maximize traffic.
  • Coordinate tourism-related initiatives with municipal or regional partners, including potential tourism-focused activities and transportation partnerships.
  • Oversee consumer advertising in the market, including local hotels and niche markets; monitor visitor trends and retailer communications.
  • Maintain a current list of tenant and advertising contacts; keep retailers informed about marketing activities and opportunities.
  • Secure retailer offers to enhance sales generation programs and implement strategies to boost retailer performance.
  • Apply national and local retailer trends to optimize collaboration opportunities; manage communications between owners, partners, and mall administration.
  • Maintain strong relationships with tenants, partners, and mall personnel; promptly respond to information requests and coordinate meetings as needed.
  • Maintain the customer service manual and orientation program; use customer service data to inform marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure quality standards are met in the execution of all programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, planning, and budgeting.
  • Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision and guiding subcontractors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with hands-on experience in marketing strategy, online marketing, and social media planning.
  • Proven experience directing agency partnerships.
  • Solid data skills with the ability to set goals and analyze performance against targets.
  • Attention to detail and proactive in delivering results.
  • Experience in planning and executing special events or sponsorships.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Relocation to Guayama, PR required; housing provided by employer.
  • Experience driving data-based decisions by measuring marketing effectiveness.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a must.
