Job Description
Responsibilities
- Create, plan, and post compelling content across MedRVA Healthcare's social channels, notably Facebook and LinkedIn, ensuring brand consistency and sustained audience interaction.
- Produce and edit versatile video assets for social media, internal communications, events, and marketing campaigns.
- Photograph and video organizational events, community programs, staff activities, and clinical settings to support storytelling and brand engagement.
- Oversee the Marketing & Communications help desk ticketing system, organizing, prioritizing, tracking, and ensuring timely, professional resolution of requests.
- Create short-form video content tailored for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, and other digital channels.
- Compose, edit, and curate internal communications materials such as newsletters, announcements, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Engage professionally with physicians, leadership, staff, patients, vendors, and community partners on behalf of MedRVA Healthcare.
- Support campaigns, community outreach, events, Foundation initiatives, and organizational communications across digital and print media.
- Track social media activity and marketing metrics; deliver insights, recommendations, and creative ideas to drive growth.
- Keep project files, timelines, and communications organized across numerous initiatives in a deadline-driven setting.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather information, support communications, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Contribute ideas, identify improvement opportunities, and actively support the Marketing & Communications Department's goals.
- Assist with administrative tasks, event prep, and special projects as needed.
Requirements
- Outstanding writing, proofreading, and editing abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
- Proven initiative, professionalism, and a readiness to own projects from concept through delivery.
- Personable, professional, and comfortable engaging with colleagues at all levels and with community members.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Experience producing engaging short-form video for social media and digital marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft OneDrive, social platforms, and video editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Premiere Rush (preferred).
- Strong visual storytelling sense, composition, pacing, and brand-consistent content creation.
- Ability to capture content independently in active healthcare and event settings.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Experience in photography, videography, or graphic design preferred.
- Portfolio required showing strong creative and visual storytelling across social, video, photography, branding, and digital content.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Previous internship or professional experience in marketing, communications, healthcare, nonprofit, or agency contexts is strongly preferred.
