Lifecycle Marketing Manager
Job Description
Experis is hiring a Lifecycle Marketing Manager for a hybrid role based in Santa Monica, CA to support a focused lifecycle marketing project for Call of Duty. You will evaluate and refresh evergreen player journeys, driving start/stop/continue recommendations and lifecycle campaigns that align with how players engage with the game. The engagement also includes building a measurement framework with Analytics and partnering closely with Product and Studios to make lifecycle programs feel like a natural extension of the experience.
What you’ll accomplish (6-month project focus)
- Lead lifecycle improvements by assessing the current evergreen program and launching a refreshed suite of player journeys.
- Define how success is measured with Analytics by establishing key metrics, reporting approach, and evaluation criteria, then documenting a scorecard-style methodology for ongoing optimization.
- Translate insights into action using start/stop/continue recommendations for onboarding, engagement, monetization, retention, and winback journeys.
- Strengthen cross-functional alignment by partnering with Product and Studios so messaging and journey flows match the game experience.
- Collaborate in a hybrid environment with work from home plus time at the Pen Factory office while coordinating with creative, marketing, product, and technical partners.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the current lifecycle program by deep-diving into evergreen player journeys, audience strategies, messaging, channel mix, and performance learnings to identify what is working, what is underperforming, and where gaps exist.
- Build and implement a refreshed evergreen ecosystem by converting program insights into clear start/stop/continue recommendations and a practical plan for onboarding, engagement, monetization, retention, and winback journeys.
- Drive lifecycle campaigns from brief through deployment by building campaign plans and timelines, writing detailed briefs (including copywriting) for creative and technical partners, and securing stakeholder buy-in and approvals.
- Guide technical execution in Braze by shaping audience segmentation, entry criteria, triggers, personalization, Liquid logic, and journey design, then collaborating with partners to resolve build and data issues ahead of launch.
- Own pre-launch readiness by QA’ing copy, links, assets, audience targeting, personalization, journey logic, and send timing, while applying email deliverability best practices and confirming readiness to launch.
Requirements
- Strong lifecycle marketing experience, including evaluating lifecycle programs, identifying start/stop/continue opportunities, and delivering programs from brief through deployment with clear executional ownership.
- Practical Braze expertise, including building Canvas journeys, configuring segments and triggers, applying personalization and Liquid logic, and testing campaign behavior before launch.
- Strong project management and attention to detail, with the ability to manage timelines, dependencies, stakeholders, feedback cycles, approvals, and competing deadlines.
- Excellent copywriting skills to craft compelling lifecycle copy and adapt messaging across audiences, channels, and player motivations.
- Deep Call of Duty knowledge to translate franchise familiarity, including modes, progression systems, seasonal content, and community context, into credible player messaging.
