Job Description
Marketing Coordinator role to support Universal Music Group's Urban Marketing Team in Santa Monica, handling releases activity, budget/invoice management, and general office duties, with calendar and travel support.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Urban Marketing Team and manage day-to-day office tasks.
- Assist with marketing activities around releases, including budget management, processing department invoices, and routing key marketing information.
- Offer additional departmental support as needed, such as arranging travel, routing vendor contracts, and helping with calendars and expenses.
- Support product managers in executing marketing plans and strategies.
- Submit and track art and video requests to completion for marketing assets like invites, posters, and draft videos.
- Create and update project documents including one-sheets, timelines, and quote sheets.
- Collect and organize artist assets, including photos, artwork, logos, music, and bios.
- Coordinate shipping of assets as required.
- Coordinate marketing tools and assets for campaigns.
- Assist in scheduling meetings and preparing agendas, along with other required support.
- Actively participate in team meetings and planning discussions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in an office administrative role; experience in the music marketing industry preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across various roles within the company.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical approach to problem solving.
- Self-directed, highly organized, and proactive.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
