Job Description

In this Account-Based Marketing leadership role within the AWS Global Private Equity practice, you will design and run ABM programs that accelerate AWS adoption across top private equity firms and their portfolio companies. On site in Arlington, Virginia, you will tailor messaging to operating partners, investment teams, and deal crews based on investment theses and portfolio focus, with the potential to scale efforts globally.

Responsibilities

  • PE Firm–Level ABM Strategy: Develop and execute targeted ABM plans for Tier 0 and Tier 1 PE firms, including Blackstone, KKR, Francisco Partners, Permira, and Thoma Bravo, crafting messaging for Operating Partners, Investment Partners, and Deal Teams aligned to their investment theses.
  • Portfolio Company Demand Generation: Create campaigns to drive AWS adoption across PE-backed PortCos, emphasizing Greenfield opportunities, first-100-days post‑acquisition engagement, and industry-specific value creation in areas like financial services, healthcare, ISV, retail, infrastructure, manufacturing, and education.
  • GenAI & Strategic Playbook Marketing: Build motions mapped to the PE BD playbooks, incorporating GenAI/Agentic AI adoption, VMware migrations, carve-outs, database modernization, and technical due diligence support to move portfolio companies from awareness to active adoption.
  • Executive Engagement Programs: Plan high-touch executive activities such as PE-focused briefing centers, CxO roundtables, PortCo events, Re:Invent sessions (PE Executive Summit), PE Thrive forums, and Women’s PE Thrive events, cultivating relationships with Operating Partners and Investment Partners to enable portfolio-wide impact.
  • Content & Thought Leadership Development: Produce PE-specific content including personalized eBooks and case studies (for example, KKR/Omnissa VMware migration, Blackstone/HealthEdge GenAI), plus industry insights for Investment Partners and multi-channel digital distribution across email, LinkedIn, content hubs, and events.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with PE BD Managers, firm-aligned Solutions Architects, field sales teams, and global marketing peers across EMEA and APJC to integrate ABM with BD priorities, the four-tier PE coverage model, and global campaigns.
  • Measurement & Performance Optimization: Define ABM metrics such as pipeline influence, PE engagement scores, PortCo conversions, Greenfield-to-Engaged rates, and revenue attribution; build dashboards and share findings with PE BD and senior marketing leadership, refining programs based on data and field feedback.
  • Scalable Playbook & Center of Excellence: Create repeatable ABM frameworks and engagement playbooks that scale globally, document best practices, contribute to the AWS ABM Center of Excellence, and promote marketing-led growth in complex ecosystem selling.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience analyzing data quantitatively and using customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, identifying opportunities, and assessing the efficacy of marketing programs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Experience in financial services, private equity, venture capital, or investment management marketing, with understanding of PE firm structures, investment theses, and portfolio company value creation models
  • Experience marketing to or engaging with C-suite and senior executive audiences in complex, relationship-driven environments
  • Cloud computing, enterprise technology, or SaaS industry marketing experience; AWS platform knowledge is a plus
