Job Description

The E.W. Scripps Company seeks a remote Senior Specialist, Marketing Media Measurement to monitor, analyze, and optimize media performance and ROI across paid, earned, owned, and influencer activities.

Responsibilities

  • Track performance across paid media, on-air placements, earned media, social channels, and influencer campaigns to assess cross-channel impact.
  • Measure campaign effectiveness and ROI by monitoring key growth metrics and comparing results across media channels.
  • Identify underperforming placements and flag opportunities for optimization to improve overall media performance.
  • Deliver weekly reports covering all campaign metrics to keep stakeholders informed on progress.
  • Produce pacing and optimization reports for all media campaigns to guide budget allocation and adjustments.
  • Monitor promo plan placements and valuations to ensure alignment with contractual media obligations.
  • Analyze audience engagement and conversion data to understand media impact and inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Research and Insights team to validate the business impact of media spend.
  • Coordinate with owned, paid, social, and partner teams to implement data-driven improvements.
  • Experiment with and measure new strategies to maximize growth potential across campaigns.
  • Present actionable insights to leadership on campaign performance and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop dashboards that clearly display media and outreach performance against growth goals.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to marketing and leadership teams to guide decision-making.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of media measurement best practices and industry benchmarks.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Typically 5+ years in a related field such as broadcast or traditional media measurement; certification may be required in some areas.
  • Experience with marketing mix modeling (MMM) and multi‑touch attribution, promo tracking, and media valuation systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with audience measurement tools (Nielsen, Comscore) and syndicated research preferred.
