Senior Performance Marketing Manager
Job Description
Angel City FC is building a modern way to grow ticketing and eCommerce through performance marketing. This onsite role in Santa Monica, CA pairs revenue-focused media work with a team environment that supports flexibility, health, and match-day culture, including complimentary home game tickets and a dog-friendly HQ.
What you’ll own
As Senior Performance Marketing Manager, you will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of paid media designed to drive ticketing (season tickets and single games) and eCommerce merchandise sales. You will aim to maximize ROAS while scaling both digital and physical presence across paid channels.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day communication and strategic direction for the primary media agency, holding them accountable for performance across Meta (Paid Social and Display), Google (Search, YouTube, and Display), and programmatic media.
- Manage and optimize additional digital media streams, including LinkedIn B2B or premium ticketing campaigns, and help set up pilots for emerging performance channels (such as Snapchat).
- Direct vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and inventory for Out-of-Home (OOH) campaigns, including traditional billboards, wild postings, and grassroots placements.
- Oversee execution, scheduling, and performance tracking of high-stakes contractual media partnerships (for example, iHeartRadio) with a focus on 100% fulfillment and impact.
- Steer end-to-end paid channel strategy to drive revenue across ticketing and merchandise sales.
- Continuously identify market opportunities to scale, test new audiences, and pivot media strategies mid-flight to stay aligned with revenue targets.
- Partner with the internal creative team to brief, order, and traffic assets for diverse media flights and optimization tests.
- Manage performance marketing calendars and production pipelines using Asana to support smooth launches and on-time asset delivery.
- Manage allocations across the media portfolio by auditing performance and shifting spend toward the highest-performing channels.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting that turns complex performance data into actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Drive continuous conversion rate optimization (CRO) through A/B testing and multivariate testing across ad creative, copy, audiences, and landing pages.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of dedicated performance marketing experience, ideally in sports, entertainment, live events, agency environments, or a fast-paced eCommerce brand.
- Demonstrated experience managing paid media budgets across Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snap), Search/SEM, Display, and OOH.
- Highly analytical, data-driven approach with a strong record of turning performance data into scalable growth strategy.
- Self-directed working style with autonomy, quick ownership of goals, and comfort adjusting strategy dynamically to solve complex challenges.
- Advanced proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Business Manager, HubSpot, Looker Studio, and Asana.
- Ability to write high-converting ad copy and give clear, performance-minded creative direction to design teams.
- Comfort working flexible hours, including select nights and weekends, aligned with the ACFC match schedule.
