Sales and Marketing Assistant
Job Description
The Sales and Marketing Assistant position is based onsite in Devils Lake, ND, and supports dealer networks and field sales teams. The role coordinates farm shows and special events, and manages orders, marketing materials, and data reporting to inform marketing direction.
Compensation
Hourly wage range: USD 21 - 25 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Process phone and email orders for whole goods and parts.
- Support the online ordering portal for parts and whole goods, including onboarding new users and verifying accounts.
- Answer customer and outside sales inquiries regarding equipment pricing and catalog information.
- Coordinate shipment of dealer orders with partner carriers, the company dispatcher, and production teams.
- Monitor dealer inventories.
- Ensure every whole good order has a signed PO and is entered into the ERP system on receipt.
- Arrange and track the transfer of sold equipment between dealerships.
- Update the product catalog on an annual basis.
- Maintain records of marketing materials and manage replenishment orders as needed.
- Manage registrations, documents, and payments for farm shows.
- Oversee timely delivery and setup of show equipment at event sites.
- Check materials in and out for show usage.
- Plan and coordinate special events, projects, and mailings.
- Occasionally travel to support dealer events and trade shows.
- Compile and report marketing data to guide management decisions.
- Support day-to-day sales and marketing operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid North Dakota driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Knowledge of Summers Manufacturing Co., Inc. products and/or general farming practices preferred.
- Two years of customer service experience required.
- Two years of sales experience preferred.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software required.
- Experience with Syspro or other ERP software preferred.
