Job Description

The Cure Starts Now seeks a full‑time Digital Marketing and Fundraising Specialist to drive donations by executing integrated fundraising campaigns across email, paid ads, organic social, and digital content. The role is based onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio, and emphasizes strong writing and organized execution to advance the organization’s fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop persuasive copy for fundraising emails, paid advertisements, social posts, landing pages, campaign materials, and donor communications.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to support and implement digital fundraising campaign strategies.
  • Create ad copy and creative concepts for Facebook, Instagram, and other digital campaigns.
  • Produce organic social content including posts, Reels, and carousels to bolster fundraising efforts and chapter events.
  • Monitor digital marketing, fundraising, and social media trends to contribute fresh ideas to the team.
  • Translate campaign goals, family stories, and research updates into clear donor-facing messaging.
  • Keep marketing projects organized, on schedule, and aligned with the brand and mission.
  • Build and update website pages for fundraising campaigns, events, chapter activities, and other marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, English, digital media, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong copywriting skills with a focus on persuasive, donor-focused, or action-oriented communications.
  • Experience creating social media content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, or similar.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable design tools.
  • Basic understanding of email marketing and social media practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail with solid editing and proofreading abilities.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Writing samples required.

Job Details

  • Job Type: Full-time, in person
  • Hourly: 17.00–23.00 USD per hour based on experience
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Work Location: In person
  • Pay: 17.00 - 23.00 per hour

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to travel overnight and possibly weekends for events, family stories, or campaign needs approximately monthly or every other month.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds above the waist.
  • Clean background check and MVR required.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising or donor engagement.
  • Experience creating or editing short-form video.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana.
