Job Description

This Marketing Generalist role supports the US and UK Scoot Education marketing leadership from Los Angeles, operating on a hybrid schedule and focusing on lifecycle and email marketing, content and messaging, and maintaining brand consistency across channels.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from USD 71,000 to USD 75,000. This is an exempt position.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize Mailchimp automation flows for announcements, bulk staffing campaigns, and nurture sequences for warm and tentative leads.
  • Create and maintain audience segmentations to improve targeting, engagement, and conversion across B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Own the email content calendar and craft communications for internal candidates, clients, HR, and the training team.
  • Draft and implement Fountain email and text sequences for recruiting and applicant communications to increase conversions.
  • Ensure written output for new verticals, including 1-pagers, internal SharePoint hubs, and POV leadership pieces, aligns with company and vertical positioning.
  • Write and publish SEO and AEO-optimized blogs and pages targeting keywords and topics for US and UK market needs.
  • Support the creation of job ad copy and job ad landing pages to improve conversions.
  • Lead content distribution across social profiles, Google News, Glassdoor, and company news, coordinating visuals with the design-focused marketer.
  • Act as the messaging-consistency gate across channels to ensure uniform positioning across social, email, and related assets, even when produced by other teammates.
  • Track and report on campaign execution, including delivered, upcoming, and blocked items.
  • Analyze owned campaign performance and recommend improvements to messaging, targeting, and tactics.

Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years of experience in a marketing generalist, content, or email marketing role.
  • Comfort with managing a high volume of recurring, execution-level requests across multiple verticals.
  • Clear, concise writer capable of championing an existing brand voice.
  • Detail-oriented with a consistent proofreading system.
  • Highly organized and adept at juggling multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience with Mailchimp automations and audience segmentations.
  • Experience with WordPress, Figma, SharePoint, and Semrush or similar SEO tools.
  • A plus if you have familiarity with recruitment marketing or the education sector.
