Job Description
Cotton Incorporated offers a contract Marketing Specialist, Trade Marketing role in Cary, North Carolina, with a hybrid work arrangement. The position supports the Importer Support Program by shaping web and email content, coordinating webinars, and developing marketing materials, collaborating across content, design, logistics, and vendor partners to deliver value for industry stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution of Importer Support Program activities, including content creation, marketing initiatives, and webinar management.
- Maintain and refresh the trade digital platform in partnership with the manager and external vendors, ensuring content is current, organized, and useful for industry users.
- Apply design updates to website and digital efforts to improve user experience and drive desired outcomes.
- Analyze program data and reports to measure performance and inform planning decisions.
- Develop, proofread, and update content across various platforms to ensure clarity, accuracy, and quality.
- Ensure the website adheres to industry standards and best practices.
- Oversee the timely publication of fabric and product information to provide accurate resources for sourcing and development decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, programmers, and developers to enhance the trade platform's technical design and capabilities.
- Support the creation and production of marketing media assets, ensuring alignment with on-brand messaging.
- Plan and execute ISP webinars end to end, including asset design, vendor coordination, speaker management, and post-event follow-up.
- Serve as the primary contact for industry inquiries, handling inbound requests related to the trade platform, webinars, and program activities with professionalism.
- Maintain a well-organized image and asset library for easy access by internal teams and partners.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, or B2B/industry marketing, ideally within textiles, apparel, or agriculture sectors.
- Proficiency with web content management systems (such as WordPress), graphic design tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite), and email marketing platforms (like HubSpot or similar); familiarity with CRM platforms and digital asset management (DAM) systems is a plus; exposure to AI content tools is a plus.
- Understanding of email marketing principles, including audience segmentation, list management, and basic campaign metrics is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with webinar platforms is desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Google Analytics is a plus.
- Proven professional writing and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with external vendors.
- Customer-service oriented mindset and professionalism.
- Creative approach and adaptability to target audiences.
- Understanding of website behavior, UX best practices, and customer experience analysis.

- Domestic and international travel up to 5% of the time.
