Job Description

The National Field Archery Association (NFAA) seeks a Marketing & Community Events Coordinator for in-person work at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center in Yankton, SD. This role supports the NEYAC mission by planning, promoting, and delivering marketing activities and community/archery events while strengthening local connections.

Role Summary

In this position, you will develop and distribute marketing materials for NEYAC programs and facility offerings, communicate with members and participants across multiple channels, and coordinate event promotion and execution. You will also serve as a trusted point of connection between NEYAC and the Yankton community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and distribute marketing materials for NEYAC programs, events, and facility offerings.
  • Manage member and participant communication through email marketing, newsletters, social media, the website, and news updates.
  • Partner with recreation staff to promote facility programming.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including schools, nonprofits, boards, and local organizations, supporting NEYAC’s connection to Yankton.
  • Lead marketing initiatives that promote NEYAC at local, regional, national, and international levels.
  • Collaborate with staff to design new programs and initiatives aimed at increasing participation, visibility, and community involvement.
  • Manage non-archery facility rentals, including meetings, charity events, trade shows, and private functions. Oversee inquiries, contracts, billing, event layouts, setup, teardown, and staff scheduling.
  • Assist with development of new programs and support the Mount Marty Archery program as needed.
  • Coordinate setup, teardown, and staffing for archery and community events.
  • Support national and international archery events hosted by the NFAA Foundation, including The Vegas Shoot, Rushmore Rumble, First Dakota Classic, and others.

Requirements

  • Degree in marketing, communications, or graphic design, or experience in event and project management.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Strong customer service and phone etiquette.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with Mac/Apple systems, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations with a positive, professional demeanor.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism when working with participants, sponsors, vendors, and board members.
  • Physical ability to perform event-related tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility for non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, with some travel required.
  • Team-oriented mindset with initiative and persistence.
