Marketing Event Coordinator
Job Description
NLS Lighting LLC is hiring a Junior Marketing & Events Coordinator to support the marketing team in Carson, CA. This is an onsite role focused on day-to-day marketing operations, event and trade show coordination, and ongoing digital and design support across assigned projects.
In this position, you will split your time across marketing operations, logistics, product samples, planning and scheduling, and data analysis, with additional support for digital marketing and basic design updates.
Responsibilities
- Assist with trade show and event logistics, including booth materials, shipments, samples, signage, literature, and event supplies.
- Prepare, organize, inventory, and ship product samples and marketing materials.
- Coordinate marketing materials and supplies between the office, vendors, sales representatives, and events.
- Support event setup and breakdown, including packing, labeling, organizing, and shipping materials.
- Help the marketing team with project tracking, scheduling, and follow-up.
- Support social media content, email marketing, website updates, and other digital marketing initiatives.
- Make basic design edits to marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Maintain organized marketing files, including product information, photography, graphics, and collateral.
- Assist with creating presentations, flyers, product sheets, signage, and other marketing materials.
- Support product launches, campaigns, promotional programs, and company communications.
- Coordinate vendors and other marketing partners (literature, giveaways, reservations, and related items).
- Handle various administrative and hands-on marketing tasks as needed.
- Work comfortably with production and engineering teams to help ensure product specifications are met and timelines stay on track.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of marketing, communications, events, or a related background preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable multitasking while meeting strict deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, dependable, and willing to learn.
- Comfortable with hands-on work such as shipping, organizing, and event preparation.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), Microsoft Office, or similar tools.
- Creative mindset with an interest in marketing and visual communication.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting a team.
- Comfort stepping in when tasks need to be handled.

Pay
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
