Mountain View Community Center provides a part-time, on-site Marketing and Events Coordinator role in Edgewood, Washington. Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage content for social channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), websites, newsletters, and printed materials.
  • Oversee the MVCC website and ensure up-to-date information across platforms.
  • Create and maintain a marketing calendar for all campaigns.
  • Collaborate with staff to highlight stories showing the impact of programs and community involvement.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to promote classes, events, fundraising, and services.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure timely communication of program updates and activities.
  • Support outreach efforts to attract new members and volunteers.
  • Maintain consistent branding across all communication materials.
  • Design promotional materials using Canva or the Adobe Suite.
  • Manage the MVCC master calendar for programming and rentals.
  • Plan and organize community events, workshops, and fundraisers with the Executive Director and Director of Programs.
  • Lead the Events Committee and volunteers, coordinating venue setup, catering, and scheduling.
  • Track event budgets and assist with post-event reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event participants and partners.
  • Create and distribute marketing materials for community events and fundraisers.
  • Assist with event logistics and on-site communications as needed.
  • Provide in-person support at fundraising events and coordinate facility rentals.
  • Be on-site during rentals or coordinate with MVCC staff to ensure coverage.
  • Contribute to building a culture where belonging and wellness starts with us.
  • Assist with daily office needs and operations as requested, and participate in team meetings.
  • Keep all shared spaces of the Center organized and clean.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in event management, nonprofit management, marketing, communications, consumer relations or related field (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience in nonprofit or community-based organizations
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills
  • Ability to innovate, learn quickly and independently, and be accountable for high-quality results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skills and passion for promoting inclusion and building equitable programming
  • Valid Washington state driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of adequate vehicle insurance
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Office management experience required: 2 years

Technologies

Proficiency with Canva and the Adobe Suite.
