Job Description

Columbia Food Machinery, a well-established name in the food equipment sector, is seeking an in-office Marketing and Business Support Coordinator to join the Salem, Oregon team. This role sits at the crossroads of marketing execution and office coordination, helping to produce polished materials, manage digital assets, and keep data and documents organized while supporting day-to-day operations on site.

Location: Salem, OR (onsite) • Salary: USD 24 - 30 per hour • Experience: Minimum 3 years

Responsibilities

  • Edit and format written communications and quotes for clarity, brevity, and to correct typographical errors
  • Develop marketing materials, including custom graphics, satisfaction surveys, email signatures, and layouts for promotional emails and advertising
  • Design, update, and maintain the WordPress-hosted website and social media platforms
  • Design and format Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents for professional internal and external communications
  • Prepare, update, distribute, and manage the timely return of monthly tracking reports
  • Maintain and improve Microsoft Access databases for proposal tracking, customer invoicing, equipment checklists, and related tasks
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and mail
  • Track schedules and record customer visits for the outside sales team
  • Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
  • Support office coordination tasks, including ordering supplies and assisting with meeting preparation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional environment performing similar duties
  • Friendly, customer service oriented attitude and communication skills
  • Skilled at independently tracking open items, following up, and securing timely responses from coworkers to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written skills; an understanding of the rules of grammar
  • Working knowledge of graphic and photo-editing software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop)
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
