Job Description

Join Colorado State University in an in-person marketing role that centers student voices. The LSC Marketing-Social Media Coordinator supports student-centered storytelling across LSC social media and digital channels, helping capture real experiences, promote events, and keep content performing through consistent planning and measurement.

Location: Fort Collins, CO (onsite)
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Weekly hours: 35-40
Anticipated start: August 1 (Fall)
Availability: up to 9 months during the 2026–2027 academic year

Responsibilities

  • Support the established social media strategy for LSC’s primary Instagram account (@csulsc) by maintaining the content calendar, creating and scheduling posts, routing items for approvals, and keeping a consistent posting cadence within established guidelines.
  • Develop student-centered content by capturing, editing, and publishing photo and video throughout the building, including live event coverage, and engaging with student employees and visitors to capture authentic moments.
  • Coordinate with campus partners to gather information and collaborate with LSC Marketing student staff to maintain alignment and consistency across content.
  • Manage scheduling in Loomly, follow the established review and approval workflow, monitor performance metrics, and use insights to improve future posts.
  • Support the LSC website and digital screen platforms, demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2 years of professional experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field
  • Experience managing a social media account, with an emphasis on Instagram
  • Strong writing and editing skills using AP style
  • Experience with photography and Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience creating and editing video using tools such as Premiere, Adobe Express, After Effects, or similar
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage deadlines
  • Comfort working within established workflows and executing consistently
  • Comfort engaging peers to capture authentic student content
  • Receptive to feedback and able to adapt
  • Commitment to the Principles of Community

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scheduling and analytics tools (for example, Loomly, CoSchedule, HootSuite, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Asana, Airtable, or similar project management tools
  • Wordpress experience
  • Experience creating storyboards
  • Basic knowledge of social media metrics and performance
  • Experience with event or live content coverage
  • Interest in a marketing or communications career
  • Demonstrated writing and editing skills
  • Experience managing students or interns
