Job Description

Provision Living is seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to lead on-site sales performance in South Lyon, MI, while advancing the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values. This exempt role focuses on driving quality sales in line with Federal, State, and Local regulations, supporting marketing planning, and ensuring a consistent process for prospective resident and referral source follow-up.

Role Overview

The Director of Sales ensures the building maintains strong occupancy outcomes by managing sales activity and quarterly move-in targets. The position also supports marketing planning, oversees lead generation budget spend, and coordinates research, relationship building, and documentation to help turn inquiries into informed decisions for residents and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own all sales activity, including maintaining building occupancy and meeting targeted move-in numbers on a quarterly basis
  • Assist the Executive Director with developing a marketing plan and updating it monthly or as needed to reflect changing conditions or opportunities
  • Conduct competitive analysis of the local senior market
  • Develop creative programs to identify, connect with, and maintain relationships with key referral sources in the community
  • Document planned and completed sales activities in the provided database in accordance with support team standards
  • Partner with the Executive Director to help staff maximize resident and family-member referral opportunities
  • Support the Executive Director in ensuring inquiries are routed appropriately and productively by staff
  • Monitor marketing budgets and manage lead generation dollars based on campaign needs
  • Discover the needs of prospective residents and their families and work to align appropriate solutions
  • Perform follow-up activities that support positive, trusting, and valuable relationships
  • Lead outside marketing efforts to increase professional referrals
  • Create and cultivate relationships with other businesses and senior adult resources to provide support to prospects and generate referrals
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school plus a minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training; or Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training
  • Three (3) years of successful sales experience in a related industry, including two (2) years of sales and marketing experience with actual on-site experience in an Assisted Living, Independent Living, or Memory Care community
  • Proven sales closing skills with a consistent record of high occupancy results
  • Ability to collaborate and establish effective working relationships with team members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and CRM database systems
  • Demonstrated experience promoting high levels of customer service and hospitality to residents, associates, and visitors
  • Self-motivated approach with strong accountability for results
  • Communication excellence in both verbal and written forms, with comfort presenting to large groups
  • Dependable work ethic and strong commitment to performance
  • Appreciation of seniors and understanding of the aging process
  • General knowledge of laws and restrictions related to Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living (where applicable), including understanding opportunities and limits of other levels of care
  • Ability to work weekends as necessary to meet organizational needs
  • Travel up to 10% of the time

Physical Demands

  • Prepared for potential situations involving residents who may exhibit disruptive behaviors, including verbal or physical contact issues

  • Occasionally crouches and lifts items up to 50 lbs
  • Vision ability to see near and far distances
