Bilingual (English/Chinese) Marketing Associate

Sheng Kee of California, Inc (Sheng Kee Bakery) seeks a Bilingual English/Chinese Marketing Associate to assist in planning, executing, and supporting the bakery’s marketing strategy and annual plan. This onsite role in Brisbane, CA reports to the Marketing Manager and offers an hourly rate of USD 20–28.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute the overall marketing plan and calendar.
• Prepare sales forecasts and coordinate activities for Sheng Kee’s marketing program.
• Oversee digital communications and manage customer service reviews.
• Maintain relationships with corporate and wholesale customers.
• Coordinate special orders with production and store teams.
• Serve as the communication liaison between management and store locations.
• Manage ongoing and new marketing campaigns and promotions to drive sales.
• Provide general support to internal Sheng Kee teams.
• Assist the Marketing Manager on projects to meet department goals.
• Review weekly specials and promotions for accuracy and impact.
• Handle press, marketing-related articles, advertising, and partnerships.
• Contribute to marketing, brand, and product research and ideation.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Retail food experience is a plus.
• Customer service experience.
• Fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese Chinese.
• Ability to read and write Chinese.

Web Store Responsibilities

• Operate daily Digital Mail Order Store activities during the Autumn Moon Season.
• Maintain orders, provide customer service, and fulfill orders.
• Oversee year round online cake order operations.
• Authorize payments, print and fax orders, and place daily cake orders.
• Take customer orders via phone or email.
• Manage the backend of the Shopify storefront and pursue site improvements.

Communications

• Handle English and Chinese sales calls, complete forms, and take notes.
• Respond to questions, inquiries, and complaints from customers.
• Provide Chinese copy and translation support for the Marketing Department.
• Translate memos for product launches and marketing events into Chinese.
• Coordinate English and Chinese internal communications between departments.
