Associate Marketing Manager, Email and Digital Channels
Job Description
Liberty Mutual seeks an Associate Marketing Manager, Email & Digital Channels to own the email program for Global Risk Solutions North America in Alpharetta, GA (onsite), with a salary range of USD 97,000 - 138,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the email marketing channel, shaping strategy, directing execution, and optimizing performance across campaigns
- Lead end-to-end email production using best practices, from planning and coding to testing, deployment, and performance reporting
- Oversee the email calendar and distribution lists to manage frequency, audience saturation, and prioritization
- Develop and drive Salesforce Marketing Cloud journey strategy; design and refine journeys aligned to campaign goals and audience engagement
- Head the A/B testing program for email, including experiment design, result analysis, and applying learnings to improve subject lines, content, design, and send parameters
- Maintain hygiene and governance of the SFMC environment: data extensions, lists, suppression lists, sender reputation, and platform health
- Serve as the internal administrator for the email platform: onboard new users, coordinate with vendor support to troubleshoot, standardize processes, and monitor usage
- Collaborate with creative services to develop and maintain email templates within SFMC, ensuring branding consistency; contribute hands-on SFMC build support to improve efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvements to email workflows and governance to boost efficiency
- Utilize performance data, benchmarks, and audience insights to proactively recommend optimizations and address stakeholder questions
- Stay informed about emerging email and digital trends; research tools and creative approaches and propose bold, data-driven ideas to elevate the program
- Collaborate with channel owners across advertising, social media, and MarTech to understand each channel's strategy, tools, and workflows; serve as a backup resource for continuity
- Provide support for social media and advertising programs as needed, including asset requests, calendars, production trackers, and scheduling
- Assist with day-to-day administration of the MarTech stack, including web CMS, DAM, video/webinar platforms, and sales enablement tools
- Lead the monthly operating report for the email channel: collect, analyze, and present performance data with actionable recommendations
- Partner with internal teams to review metrics for individual sends and overall channel, translating insights into optimization opportunities
- Ensure email strategy aligns with broader campaigns and marketing objectives; collaborate with marketing managers to align priorities and messaging
- Collaborate with enterprise partners to manage platform needs, escalate issues, advocate enhancements, and represent GRS North America Marketing within the SFMC ecosystem
- Work with Marketing Strategy managers and channel colleagues to help develop integrated campaigns aligned to business priorities
- Present recommendations clearly to marketing and cross-functional partners, showcasing channel expertise and driving best practices
- Contribute to the development and improvement of team processes and workflows
Requirements
- Proven experience as the primary owner of email marketing or a similar digital channel
- Strong knowledge of responsive email design and programming concepts
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS for email coding and troubleshooting
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including journey building, A/B testing, and platform administration
- Ability to analyze channel performance data, extract insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Commitment to continuous learning and expanding marketing knowledge and digital channel excellence
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant, progressively responsible marketing experience
- Advanced understanding of marketing communications principles and practices
- Experience working with outside agencies
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong knowledge of relevant technologies and tools
- Excellent organizational, coordination, project management, and analytical skills
- Solid presentation skills
- Budget and project management experience preferred
