Imperial Crest Healthcare Center, located onsite in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Marketing/Admissions Director to lead our outreach and admissions efforts. This role offers an hourly rate of $30 to $38 and the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Administrator and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement a marketing plan that grows the facility census with the appropriate payer mix, in line with current guidelines.
The position emphasizes a values-driven approach: you will engage with patients and families with fairness and respect, refer to patients by name, and communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, visitors, staff, and governmental agencies. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to evaluate potential admissions against acuity and financial criteria, and you will participate in ongoing efforts to meet census goals within budget and policy guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and implement a marketing plan with clear objectives based on the facility's strengths.
- Meet and exceed monthly census goals with an appropriate payer mix of Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, and private pay, in accordance with current federal, state, and local guidelines and management direction.
- Treat each patient fairly, kindly, with dignity and respect; refer to each patient by name.
- Communicate clearly, empathetically, and effectively with patients, family members, visitors, all staff, and governmental agencies.
- Collaborate with the facility multidisciplinary team to determine if potential patients meet acuity and financial requirements.
- Commit to always doing the right thing and work with the Administrator to ensure census goals.
- Submit a weekly calendar of scheduled marketing appointments to the Administrator.
- Make daily contact with acute care case managers, social workers, discharge planners, and physicians.
- Manage patient family relationships and meet admissions to complete required admission paperwork.
- Assess potential patients in local hospitals and answer questions about the facility.
- Maintain a database of physician and case manager contacts and profiles.
- Participate in local community events to promote visibility and increase the facility census.
- Follow the operational budget and attend stand-up meetings daily.
- Oversee inquiries from physicians, hospital discharge planners, and respond to all referrals within 15 minutes of receipt.
- For PDPM compliance, ensure all new admissions have proper documentation including discharge summaries, therapy notes, nursing notes, and a medication list.
- Keep updated with Medicare and Medicaid regulations governing admission and discharge requirements.
- Report any occupational exposures to blood or body fluids to a supervisor immediately.
- Protect each patient's file and data with confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
- Abide by all facility policies and procedures, including not disclosing user ID codes and passwords.

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of SNF experience.
- 1 to 5 years of marketing or admissions experience in healthcare.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster shots.
- Previous experience in marketing or related fields.
- Strong leadership qualities.
Salary information: $30 - $38 per hour, commensurate with location, shift details, knowledge, skills, and experience.
