Job Description

Nationwide is seeking a Senior Consultant for Annuity Marketing Optimization to oversee strategic marketing initiatives, data-driven investment optimization, and staff operations from its Columbus, OH location with hybrid work flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies and plans that drive long term business expansion, using data insights to identify and design innovative solutions
  • Steer complex projects within your scope, delivering results across multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Plan and deploy digital and traditional marketing campaigns, including the creative development process, scheduling, and activation
  • Direct creative development, offer concrete feedback on visual direction, and craft clear, actionable creative briefs
  • Monitor emerging trends in content, design, and marketing tactics to stay ahead of the curve
  • Analyze customer insights and analytics to forecast market, competitor, and customer needs; define target audiences and drive data-based decisions
  • Keep programs aligned with strategy and schedule, ensuring on track delivery
  • May take on additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or related field; graduate degree preferred
  • Licenses and certifications: CPCU, CLU, ChFC, FLMI considered a plus; additional federal or state licenses may be required within designated timeframes
  • Experience: 10+ years in related marketing, field sales management, insurance or equivalent; Master’s degree can substitute part of the experience
  • Prior marketing development and project leadership experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing methodologies and financial services products including regulatory environment, distribution systems, and customers
  • Understanding of product distribution methods
  • Ability to design and review research studies, communicate findings, translate into market recommendations, and negotiate contracts with internal/external contacts; capable of leading multiple projects
  • Ability to function independently or within a team
  • Strong marketing proficiencies: strategy development, analytics utilization, brand building, and effective marketing communications
  • Strong focus on customer needs, operating capabilities, and strategic capabilities
  • Other criteria and leadership competencies may take precedence as needed
  • Staffing exceptions require approval from the hiring manager and HR partner

Compensation

  • National salary range: $122,000 to $214,000; starting range: $122,000 to $182,000

Reporting relationships

Reports to Director / Associate Vice President / Vice President; individual contributor with potential team or project leadership responsibilities
